Seems like a rights problem to me, you somehow messed up the rights of the files. The files are still there because they are owned by another user.

The easiest way would be to login as that user and empty the recycle bin. If that is not possible then do this, it will take ownership of the recycle bin, grant rights to everyone, remove system and hidden attributes and finally delete the complete folder. Don't worry about deleting the folder Windows will create a new one when you delete files again.

Try taking ownership of all the files. Open a command prompt as administrator and try these commands.

    takeown /F "c:\$RECYCLE.BIN" /R /D Y
    icacls "c:\$RECYCLE.BIN" /grant Everyone:(OI)(CI)(F) /T
    attrib -R -S -H "c:\$RECYCLE.BIN" /S /D
    rmdir /S /Q "c:\$RECYCLE.BIN"

I've been through a similar thing. My company has 180 FTE rightnow and it has been a real challenge for me. On the one side I would like to continue doing the things I love todo which has made my company so big but on the other hand I have 180 people who depend on me to keep things running smoothly which takes up alot of my time and energy. Now I'm older I'm starting to notice that I just can't do everything anymore, I'm just too tired. It's alot more then it used to be and I don't have the energy anymore. Although it was a real moral boost for my employees I just can't go down to the production floor and start helping there when we are missing a person.

People who have never hired workers (even just 1 person) do not realise how time consuming, costly, just everything humans can be. I used to think HR departments are stupid but now I can understand why big companies have a complete seperate department. Humans are just so annoying, they never do what you want them todo, they are so unreliable and the constant nagging and childish behaviour! Oh my god, the stories I have of just sitting there and thinking: "really, this is what you had to bother me for! You are a full grown person just figure it out and stop bothering me!".

I decided to go the other way around. I've decided to focus on the managing, take on new tasks and new challenges. For me it was a slow realisation process and just letting go and truting others todo a as good or even beter job. Why am I doing this or this, when I'm paying that person todo that for me.

In your case I can understand. You are the face of your company, you just cant stop producing videos and start focussing on management. I think in the long run this is the best sollution for your company and for us as your fans and viewers.

maksakal got a reaction from dogwitch in Should I Take NVIDIA Back?
I absolutely have no understanding for what NVidia is doing with this mining blocking algorithm and this whole verified gamer nonsense. So I have to jump through hoops to prove I'm a gamer? What if, like Linus said, I want to make a buck on the side to earn back my investment? GPU's aren't cheap you know.

Why not do what Sony is doing and start selling directly to consumers? Just set a limit of 1 GPU you will ship per address. If scalpers and miners are such a huge problem this will make it much harder for them to buy GPU's in bulk.

And before you say that there's still going to be fraud through employees or external contractors. First of all at least it's something and at least you will have a chance at buying a GPU even if there's going to be fraud.

Long ago when I was a much much younger I've worked in a huge distribution warehouse. They distributed pretty much everything you can think of. From car parts and complete engines for warranty overnight repair, to huge machines which had all kinds of tamper stickers on them, to motherboards (I was tasked with judging RMA requests and making pictures of motherboards to outline the problem so they could be shipped back to China for repair) to all kinds of electronics and the smallest components.

The customer could even pay for the shipment to be guarded. Apple does this with their shipments if I'm correct.

They even used to tell us that if somebody managed to get the smallest piece out of the warehouse (there was a minimum value) you could get a bonus if you told them how you did it.

When I was there this one guy got caught stealing laptops, but this was discovered the next day. What he did was put a few laptops on a pallet with waste and park the pallet near a gate. What he then did was clock out, go outside, reach in and get the boxes through the gate. Valuable things like that get monitored all the time and the next day when they did a scan they immediately discovered they were missing a few. Then they looked at the camera footage a saw what the guy had done. Usually discovery will take some time and it will get noticed when a lot of stock is missing, but in this case just 3 laptops and it was discovered immediately.

These warehouses have quality control systems and tracking systems in place which are just mind boggling. Theft, fraud or any kind of manipulation is impossible. They can tell you to the exact count how much of something they have, where it is and how much they've shipped to whom. To the exact count.

To test this one time for fun we looked up how much M3 screws there should be in stock and it was exact.

What I'm trying to say, there are already companies out there which provide these services and with the web shop boom the number of these warehouses has only multiplied. It's a matter of the right contracts to provide the right services.

Of course this will mean the supply to retailers will be limited and NVidia will only sell at MSRP. The market will pretty much be locked at MSRP (eliminating scalpers all together) but to be honest right now I'm willing to pay MSRP to get my hands on a decent GPU. If I look at the outrageous prices being asked for not previous gen but 2,3 gen's back. No let me pay MSRP and be done with it.

maksakal got a reaction from Jason 57 in Why I Didn't Buy a Tesla
I've owned 3 (yes 3) Model S's, I've used them as a dailydriver before they became an hype and I can justly say, they are crap.

My first S85 was a 2013 model, this one only gave me headaches. Back then there weren't even any tax insentives and here in The Netherlands there was no mention of a charging network. This one had several problems which never got solved and eventually I got rid of it just because of all the problems.

My second was a 2015, which didn't have the electronics problems but had major quality issues and several recalls, I can say that this is the car with the most recalls I have ever owned.

My Third one was a 2018 model, this is when other manufacturers started to announce their cars and tax insentives started. THis one also had major quality issues. I'm a person who has drives S-classes, 7 series, ML, etc. etc. luxury cars, compared to those cars the Tesla is nothing.

All these people who yap their mouth on the internet are either fanboys who don't own one or envoiromentalists who turned Tesla into a religion. These people go hypermiling their cars and then brag on the internet about the mileage they got, if you use to car like a normal person (like I did) then the range isn't there.

People on the internet tend to yap their mouth about how wonderfull and technologic the cars are, well have you ever driven in a car within a similar price range? No you haven't! When you compare to similar cars in a similar price range they aren't as luxurious, comfortable or technologically advanced as some people pretend they are. What other car brands do is diversivy their models. You can buy a VW Golf for 12k and you can buy one for 40k, there's a difference. You can buy an S-class for 60k and you can buy one for 150k, there's a difference. Heck I've even had some kid on the internet argue with me that VW doesn't have an infotainment system but VW will gladly sell you one for 800 euro. He's talking about a 12k car vs. a Model 3 which costs 45k.... You see how stupid these people are? They don't own there cars, they will never own them and they pretend like money isn't an issue or something. Everybody on the internet is a millionair who can just buy stuff, not thinking about the pricetag.

Autopilot is crap! When people on internet say that it can drive on it's own and how advanced that is. No it can't! How the Tesla software works is dangerous. What the Tesla software does other brands could do for years and years, but other brands required you to keep your hands on the wheel. Somehting Tesla came back on in an update and now also requires you to keep your hands on the wheel (the stupid orange trick, goed how dumb are there people?).

These cars are crap! They're plastic! Compared to cars in the similar price range they aren't as advaced or luxurious! And before you say that I am a disgruntled customer and that I got a lemon. Did I get 3 lemons?

Interoprability with RGB controllers would be nice. If anybody can break the market and bring decent quality products for a decent price it's IKEA, so it would be nice to have a nice desk without having to break the bank.

The desk I'm sitting at rightnow I bought at IKEA. A decent workshop bench/desk would cost me 600+ euro, but i don't need that. My desk cost me 60 euro's. It's scuffed, marked and here and there broken. For a 60 euro desk, the quality is good enough. IKEA also has 300+ euro desks which can compete with the 600+ euro desks from other brands.

And lets be honest, IKEA makes their stuff in China. Let's not preternd other brands don't do the same.
