Maximoose got a reaction from ZackCodesAI in Is it okay to buy this laptop?
I will never get a Dell, I have had experience with 3 Dells in the past few years and they all start running like molasses in winter on a Sunday afternoon after a couple of years. They also build their computers to look good on paper but not in practice. However, my parents had an HP that lasted a solid 8 years before they had to upgrade and I have a 3 year old HP that still runs like it's new. I tried to give Dell a chance, but they failed me many times, I simply can't recommend one to anybody. Sorry, but I would never purchase the computer you have selected.

If you're looking for a laptop that can handle everything you can throw at it along with getting that premium build quality, I would get a Razer. If you only need to have the ability to multitask hard at home, then maybe think about building a system for $2000 and spending the other $500 on a Chromebook.

Me: Ok, type in your password

Someone: I don't know my password

Maximoose got a reaction from Tech_Dreamer in Never buying another video from Amazon digitally again.
So today I was about to go and stream a movie I paid for from Amazon and found it to be "currently unavailable." You may think that this is just some technical difficulty. Not at all. After further research I discovered that, if the licence of the movie/TV show changes, Amazon can hold the movie from you till the licencing issue is resolved. You may think this is just a temporary thing, but often it can be permanent. Amazon can hold a movie or TV show from you even if you already purchased it because of licencing. What the heck Amazon! I guess this is the price I have to pay for someone storing my digital content for me. I want Amazon to treat the stuff I purchase like I purchased a physical copy.
This is clearly a money making loophole that studios exploit to make viewers shell out an extra 20 bucks for a second copy of their movie. They use it like the premium cable except instead of pricing it at $4-5 they price it at $20 and exploit this loophole in Amazon's terms and conditions.
You can prevent your movies from beign taken away by downloading your movies to your devices, Amazon states that it is allowed for a user to download the content to avoid this potential "currently available" BS

I can't wait for everything to be USB type C, then I can charge my laptop, mac, iphone, and android phone from the same block. And then all headphones will be usb type c anyway, so apple won't have to worry about removing the headphone jack. And I will be able to use the same flash drive I use on my pc on my phone.

My grandma just sent her PC to a repair place and paid them a fortune to fix it. She says she couldn't find her yahoo. She could have probably had let me take a look at it for a grand total of $0. You don't need to send your computer to the pros to have them fix it, a family member could probably fix it for you for $0

My sister thinks because something is newer or better it is more complicated, (she hauls a cd player downstairs and sets it next to our home theater's great tv, sound system, and backwards compatible blu-ray player that plays cds because she thinks that using a blu-ray player is more complicated than a cd palyer because it is better.)
