Is it okay to buy this laptop?

I'm looking forward to buy Dell Inspiron 15 5577 , so before buying, I want end-time check that is this the best option for the given price. (Note the Indian Market price).

Here you can check the laptop I'm going to buy.

Do they have i5-7300hq equipped options in India? The 7700HQ will be bottlenecked by the 1050, so might as well get the slower i5 and save some money (or a laptop with i5 and 1050ti)

I think I'd still go for 7700HQ because my prime focusing is not gaming...

sadly it looks like where he is, the 5000 gaming doesn't include a 1050ti, and of course the 7000 doesn't offer an i5 option!, where as here in north america both options are available. I got the 7000 gaming with an i5 and 1050ti as it was the best option!

You do you my friend, however I would look on Used sites and see if there is a bargain on Ebay india or Craigslist because they may offer better "bang for your buck"

For students' use and for paying big money, I think I'd prefer the new one with warranty.
You can understand my situation here.

I do. You can also look to see if companies other than dell (ie: Asus, Acer, and MSI) have budget-end laptops. I'm not trying to dissuade you, just trying to present all options.

It's a pretty good laptop. Not sure about the 5000 ones, the 7000 ones uses a single screw to access everything, making upgrade and maintenance extremely easy. The 5000 series, the 2 cheapest models uses TN panel, others has a IPS at extra cost. Their 7000 series, recently started using IPS on all of their models. There will be a brand new 7000 series soon, with a new design and Thunderbolt 3.

Buy it directly from Dell.

Intel Xeon E5 1650 v3 @ 3.5GHz 6C:12T / CM212 Evo / Asus X99 Deluxe / 16GB (4x4GB) DDR4 3000 Trident-Z / Samsung 850 Pro 256GB / Intel 335 240GB / WD Red 2 & 3TB / Antec 850w / RTX 2070 / Win10 Pro x64

But it'll be expensive, and by doing direct conversion, even this laptop would cost me more than 1300usd!
And also, India will have this model atleast after 6 months of launch I can't wait more than a month.

Acer helios 300 was the closest option I found, but 250USD more, (@$1564) whereas, dell is at $1314.

Oops, I thought IND stands for Indian dollar. So it's INR.

Anyway Rs 75,289.99 is $1177.6USD.

I meant $1177.6 USD for that laptop in India.

I will never get a Dell, I have had experience with 3 Dells in the past few years and they all start running like molasses in winter on a Sunday afternoon after a couple of years. They also build their computers to look good on paper but not in practice. However, my parents had an HP that lasted a solid 8 years before they had to upgrade and I have a 3 year old HP that still runs like it's new. I tried to give Dell a chance, but they failed me many times, I simply can't recommend one to anybody. Sorry, but I would never purchase the computer you have selected.

Got an Android, never going back to apple again (notice I spelled apple with a lowercase and Android with an uppercase)
