RIP. time to wait another 10 years for a good price point.
I was hopping around £1500 not £2500.

Sometimes there isn't a news site source, because they haven't seen it yet, or picked up the leak yet. So one can't break news here on the most sought after monitor in years, that many have been waiting over 2 years for?
Sometimes not everything falls within guide lines.

For?
Games, movies, dolphin emulator.
For gaming I use it for older games, my pc can not run at 120hz on some of the newer stuff.

I have the same problems.
But 2nd port gives me artefacts.
It is pure random whether it works or doesn't work I'm just holding off until next generation until I return up.

Same. No matter how careful someone is there is always micro scratches that you can see in certain light. I have never seen or have had a perfect screen after a year of use.

haloharry97 reacted to Mira Yurizaki in 1440p/4K gamig worth it?
1440p is noticeably better than 1080.
4K not so much. Not because performance issues, but because I don't think assets were made with that resolution in mind. Especially texture resolution. So everything looks almost the same. Maybe sharper. It may help you though if you play games where you need to identify things from very far away.

Reviews - no, but media backslash might. It's not the first time after all when people were heard by big companies. Sadly this time "big company" has one of the best ever selling games, which will influence their stance of not giving a fuck.

I'd, personally, go with the Samsung EVO SSD's.

In that case you're stuck with having to buy another key. This is why you don't buy OEM keys (aside from the fact that anyone selling bulk OEM keys is shady AF)

haloharry97 reacted to LAwLz in *Update* Verizon Wireless to stop handing out Static IPv4, Will now provide IPv6
That's not the reason at all. The reason why "no one has bothered changing" is because it is an extremely complicated process and things such as protocols needed are actually fairly new.
For example the routing protocol OSPF was updated to support IPv6 sometime in 2008. So those "20 years" are more like 8 years, and that's before anything even supported it. For things like routers to have it implemented we are looking at even more recent times.
Those 20 years might be more like 5 years, and during that short period of time a ton of things needed to happen before it could actually be implemented in live environments. It's not just something you press a button with and then everything works.
It's not about "change is bad!". It's about "this change doesn't really improve anything for our business, it will cost a ton of time and money, and it might cause a lot of issues".

haloharry97 reacted to Mira Yurizaki in Enthusiast vs. Consumer
If a person wants to believe I'm a wizard with special computer fixing powers, I just roll with it. I don't explain anything to anyone unless they specifically ask for it and show some interest in it. As far as I'm concerned for them, ignorance is bliss and if they're happy, I leave it at that. A computer is a magic box that does things.

Seriously though, you'll need a fast internet connection for that, on both sides, not just your connection.
Also, if their computer is so slow it can barely handle the facebook or youtubes, using some kind of Team Viewer remote access won't be any faster for them.

haloharry97 got a reaction from Dr. FunFrock in Power-line networking versus wifi in an old massive building
With power line the max speed i got from tp-link av2000 is 160Mbps I have 200Mbps isp from one room below me, but i get 450+Mbps with wifi, so if you want speed go for wifi but if you want lower latency go for powerline. my home is from 1950 or even older.
