Easiest solution is to avoid having an application open that spans both monitors like that. Just keep it on one monitor or the other.

If you have the same vertical resolution (1440p) but different size monitors, then that means you have two different pixel densities.  You can try to center the smaller monitor but you aren't going to get it exactly like you want.  If a window uses 100 pixels then it will always look bigger on one and smaller on the other.  There's no avoiding that.

It's your choice you could also go for a second Dell monitor but this was just a suggestion.

Ok so I don't have an air cooler around atm so can't test that.
I wrote a ticket to corsair telling them about the problem and I will see what they have to say (probably send it back and get a new one).
For now I disabled the turbo mode so I have a max CPU Speed of 4GHz (enough for the stuff I am doing atm) and with prime95 I got temps at around 70°C for around 2h which I think is fine/safe

I'll keep you posted as soon as I get the reply from corsair and tell you the temps when i get the air cooler from a friend.

Thanks for the help so far.

Those programs are fine just when you get to the stage to reinstall them just look for the latest versions.

Couldn't say for sure what you would need, but it does sound a little overkill on the application side for your hardware, but if those are what the hardware manufacturer recommends, it would probably be best to keep all of them. It purely depends on the hardware. Probably best to consult an old-school manual or something.

You'll need to run the disk cleanup tool as administrator, otherwise the option to remove the old Windows files often won't show up.

If you're super lazy like me, you can just download this thingy: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/add-take-ownership-to-explorer-right-click-menu-in-vista/

Then you just right click, take ownership, and it gives you all the privileges to send unruly programs to the deepest pits of your recycling bin.

I have a Dell U2515H its also has a 1440p Monitor and I love gaming on it. Plus it nearly looks the same as your asus one.

BUT as @vong said nothing for competitive cs:go ( I am a decent player and I don't really feel it )

Not sure about 1080p... Maybe at 200hz....but not for your average user.
Also at 1440p it only bottlenecks at 144hz gaming. Please make sure to specify these things when telling OP's. Information can become misleading when so little of it is given.

Games use over 8 cores nowadays. The myths of 2-4 cores being the max have not been true for years. Look at GTA V. It uses 16 cores/threads

Because there are no "custom" laptops. Every single. And I mean every single "custom" laptop you see outside of the big manufacturers use rebrands of Clevo or other manufacturers like msi, dell, hp. It takes an absolute fortune to design and produce a chassis, and nobody down to spend money on that outside of the established manufacturers.

    This "custom" original laptop: https://www.originpc.com/gaming/laptops/evo15-s/
    is the MSI GS60.

@dea2k the one i linked you is the Clevo Rebrand, N155RD.

Remove the OS and upgrading the CPU brings you to just under 700 after VAT. Then for RAM and storage just upgrade yourself with what you have and it'll be cheaper than getting it straight from the config. (I actually don't know if RAM and storage in UK are overpriced that much so check your amazon prices against upgrading against upgrading on the config)

@dea2kI looked on Amazon UK and I dont even see a Y700 under 950...cheapest one with the intel version comes in a 960 pounds. For that price you can upgrade on the configurator to 16gb 512ssd and 2tb hdd.

still it's recommended using at least a wrist band because you can damage components with a elektro static charge which can decrease life time of a part

Akadis reacted to Clanscorpia in Is this pc good or bad?
No one does that though. Literally no one. Upgrade path really means nothing in the modern age. Most people will buy a new, better mobo when upgrading CPU. And in 3 years when you need an upgrade, your board wont support it because Cannonlake has different chipsets that Skylake and Kabylake

i would put it onto the table if you are grounded. and with the wrist rest you mean something like this?

if you meant that connect it to the anti static map and connect that one to a power outlet
