Well, believe it. i5s are not good enough for 1070s or 1080s. Even at 4.5GHz it still bottlenecks by 10% or so. 1070 SLI would be so badly bottlenecked that you wouldn't even get a benefit from a 2nd 1070

A little more expensive. But it has a I7, more SSD storage (don't pay more for the 950 PRO its only amazing in the 512gb model), 1080 GPU, And a better CPU cooler.

well the 5820 would be a bottelneck because of the 3,3 GHz? because games don't use all cores?

Not sure about 1080p... Maybe at 200hz....but not for your average user.

Also at 1440p it only bottlenecks at 144hz gaming. Please make sure to specify these things when telling OP's. Information can become misleading when so little of it is given.

Games use over 8 cores nowadays. The myths of 2-4 cores being the max have not been true for years. Look at GTA V. It uses 16 cores/threads

At 1080p it's a major bottleneck. Look at the minimums. This is stutter. (Titan X is close to a 1070 stock)

The i5 6600k is a major bottleneck like @don_svetlio said,a i7 6700k or i7 5820k will do better and yes games use 8 cores nowaday, that claim for 4 cores was justified back in 2010-11 now games do you use all those cores

you don't need so much money for 1080p

either go 1440p or get a GTX950 or something

instead of a 256GB 950Pro get something like a 1TB 850Evo or OCZ Trion or something

your case costs almost as much as your PSU

I can't put a finger at anything specific but 1500€ for those specs... I wouldn't pay that much

Buy a cheaper 1070 and OC it yourself, put the money towards something that actually will make you happier with the build or give you more solid state storage.

People saying games use 8 and 16 cores, not really. There's a big difference between using them lightly and actually gaining anything from it over a quad.

Edit: I also don't see why you would buy a 950 pro for gaming. That's a luxury SSD that won't give noticeable improvements over cheaper ones (for game loads), you could upgrade elsewhere and get tangible benefits.

A 650W has more than enough power for 2x1070. Save money on what you don't need and blow your wad on a CPU and GPU. That's what really matter, your PSU and SSD are just wasting performance you could be gaining on the CPU or GPU side.

You got to optimise your builds people.
