Dear Marcfree420,

I think that your configuration is good enought for that budget. I want only to suggest you some possible improvements that you can make:

for starting, the power supply is good, the brand is solid and 400w is more than plenty for this setup, but you will be limited in term of future expansions; maybe a 500w, will allow you a more open evolution for your system. same deal for the certification. it is a 80+ certified power supply, that is really good, but maybe adjusting the budget accordingly you will be able to get a PSU that will remain with you for longer time. The last suggestion is RAM; you can add an 8GB stick later, but is something that I strongly reccomend to you.

I hope to have been a help to you

for gaming you don't need 16GB of RAM even if he is recording

if you want you can invest in a more power efficient PSU but other than that you are good with what you put together

i would definitly suggest going with the new LGA1151 sockets just for upgradeability in the future.

if you go with the old ones you have to upgrade ram, mobo and the cpu with the new ones its an easy update to the i7-6700 or whatever comes in the future (if it still has the same socket of corse)

I don't, they preform very similarly and I don't really expect people to upgrade their CPU on their good value gaming PC. Anyway there really isn't much upgrade path for that build I listed with the i5 4670k, an i7 4770k or i7 4790k aren't that much better to be worth the upgrade.

His build already included 16GB of RAM and 16GB of RAM isn't needed in gaming.

PSU is probably crap. EU 80+ efficiency is not something to be proud of. I am not going to look into how bad it is, but for 5euros more you can get a good PSU http://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/zW4NnQ/xfx-power-supply-p1430sxxb9

i meant the i5-6500 can be upgraded into a future cpu becouse they said kabylake and Cannonlake will also be based on LGA 1151 so if he gets the same power why not use the new one which can be upgraded in a few years instead of having to change nearly all parts?

No one does that though. Literally no one. Upgrade path really means nothing in the modern age. Most people will buy a new, better mobo when upgrading CPU. And in 3 years when you need an upgrade, your board wont support it because Cannonlake has different chipsets that Skylake and Kabylake

I'll look into it latter, but DDR4 is not any better for gaming than DDR3.
