    Hello. I'm currently in the midst of doing a Linux terminal shell-script for an assignment. The assignment requires that we create a shell script which backs up all files with a certain extension throughout the Linux system. Basically, if we enter ".txt", all files with that extension will be backed up. The requirements are as follows;

    The script should first ask a user if they'd like to load a saved preset. If yes, it prompts which preset to load, in which it executes from there. If the user decides to not load a preset, the script then asks for the desired filetype extension that is to be backed up, along with the desired destination path. The inputs for above should also be saved into a preset file so that it can be quickly accessed in the future. This should be named by the user. The backup process should also be logged into a log.txt file. This is what I've got so far;

    #!/bin/bash function introduction(){ echo "Welcome to this totally simplified backup utility!" echo "Please specify if you would like to use a pre-determined setting." read setpreference if [ "$setpreference" == "Yes"] || [ "$setpreference" == "yes" ]; then echo "Entered the desired preference file" read preffile elif [ "$setpreference" == "No" ] || [ "$setpreference" == "no" ]; then main fi } function main(){ echo "Enter the desired filetype you would like to backup" read filetype echo "$filetype" > config.txt backuptime='date +%b-%d-%y' echo "Enter the path and directory of the desired destination" read destination echo "$destination" >> config.txt tar -cpzf $destination echo "Backup successful" } Sorry to all the seasoned Linux users for the hodgepodge. But I'm totally new to this sort of thing and I really do need help.

    There's also a second part of the assignment which involves creating another script to evaluate the functionality of the first but I'll explain that later.

    I'm pretty sure you need echo. Also you should add a key, otherwise you won't be able to retrieve the value later
    echo "Destination $destination" >> config.txt

    There are other laptops in a thin chassis that pack an 8950HK. However, Apple's also just happens to be one of the most inferior, mostly due to the laughably inadequate cooling system, which was just barely enough for a 7820HQ.

    But that's not really my biggest issue with this generation of Mac. It's the keyboard. Best way to sum it up is a solution that no one asked for in search of a crippling failure point.

    How about the Gigabyte Aero 15? Linus used it as a comparative benchmarking "thin i9 laptop" in the very video in question.

    Autopilot is, at best, a Level 2 automous driving technology. That means the vehicle is capable of operating on its own under specific conditions but is not sophisticated/redundant enough to be able to completely take over under certain circumstances, requiring manual driver intervention.

    I don't really find fault with the Autopilot system itself as it works as would expected as a driver assistance system . What I'm questioning is Tesla's marketing and strategy for the system. Not too long ago, there was a firmware update that somehow undid the fix applied to the Autopilot software after this crash that would make the system less likely to turn towards dividers in dividing lanes.

    Eh, that much is obvious.

    But even then, EGS is still at the stage where it really doesn't offer anything significant for the consumer-end as of now. It's a very developer/publisher-centric platform.

    If I'm honest though, that 88/12 split mostly makes sense for indies, especially when you throw in the revenue guarantees. When it comes to big AAA publishers like 2K and Ubisoft, the benefits are cloudier.

    I think indies stand to benefit the most, but for developers under the arms of big publishers, I'd wager that their paychecks are still up to their bosses.

    Just to note, when I say "old", I don't mean "bad".

    I have a soft spot for older vehicles because they aren't techno-glorified computers-on-wheels that modern cars have become. Just like how I'm more fond of R32 GT-Rs versus the current R35 GT-R (though one can make the argument that an R32 is also a computer on wheels, albeit much less so).

    One thing though.
    Those manufacturers tend to create very small volume cars designed for very specific purposes, mostly track driving or in the case of the Ariel Nomad, serious off-road. So it's not surprising that they don't treat technological progress as seriously as a company like Ford, Honda or Audi. It's just not necessary for their respective applications.

    Funny thing is that the systems that Autopilot uses aren’t new.....at all.

    Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning and Prevention alongside Forward Collision Warning and Mitigation are all things we’ve seen before..........on a 2003 Japanese-market Honda Accord

    That's exactly my point. I'll stick to using my EyeToy as my main camera because that's the best camera Sony ever made!

    With the RF 24-105 f/4L, yes. With the EF 24/105 f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens together with the EF-to-RF adapter, it’s closer to $1600.
    One thing you’ve got to note is that anything about “color science” mostly really applies to SOOC JPEGs. Color science isn’t going to be a big deal to people who deal mostly with developing RAW files in a RAW processor like Lightroom or Capture One.

    Looks like this period is going to be a rough one for Canon's imaging division.

    After reporting a mere 81% fall in operating profits versus last year owing to a 23% dip in overall camera sales, it seems that the sales of the EOS RP, Canon's most affordable interchangeable-lens camera with a 35mm sensor, has seemingly taken on a nosedive in its home market of Japan, ultimately finishing at a 14% share on early April. By comparison, the Sony a7iii finished at a 42% share on the same period.
    An interesting thing to note is that the share of the A7iii is higher than the EOS R, RP and Nikon Z6 combined, which isn't exactly a great first outing for each company's respective 35mm mirrorless offerings. Note that the figures for Panasonic's new S1 camera are not in the list, owing to the model's recent announcement and launch.
    Given these events, alongside Canon's faltering profits, it would be interesting to see where the DSLR giants head on from there, as the mirrorless market may prove to be unforgiving.

    Note that these figures apply to the Japanese market. It's likely that the EOS RP may perform better in other territories.

    Here's something I don't understand.

    How exactly would exclusivity in this case help? It's not like Rocket League is a hyped new game or anything, but a game that's been out for years with an already established userbase.

    Yeah, this is definitely odd.

    It's not surprising if their future games were to be EGS only but it's definitely odd to see a game that's been played and sold on a platform for years being removed years later in favor of another.

    It's probably happened before, though usually not in any common manner.
