TVwazhere reacted to BondiBlue in Folding Community Board
Unfortunately I'm going to have to slow down on my folding activities for a bit. The power bill for the past month was getting dangerously close to $400. Only a small part of that was from my folding computers. Most of it was caused by my air conditioner. It's a central AC unit, but there's just the one unit for two floors. It's not quite large enough for both floors, and when it gets very hot outside (like it has been lately) that thing runs nonstop. Adding to the heat load by folding just isn't something I can do right now, so my numbers are going to be rather low for a while. My wallet will thank me for keeping the bill lower lol.

TVwazhere reacted to Senzelian in 3D Printing, 1st layer irregularities (PLA)
I just changed the entire hot end (including the nozzle), so probably it's the bed then.
The moment I fumbled around with the bottom left bed screw and lowered the bed it seemed to have gotten better.
Your comment confirmed my suspicion. Thanks!

That can be caused by two things, inconsistent extrusion or bed being warped. Second picture shows there is too much material or nozzle is too close to the bed.

It's car related. Realized I left the 'HDR" mode on the camera which makes all the daytime footage look over-processed.

TVwazhere got a reaction from TopHatProductions115 in Minisforum, maker of SFF PC's, showcases six liter case design that allows a top mounted GPU over it.
I think the worst part about this is it's a 6L case for essentially a motherboard and power supply.
Additionally, a soldered CPU and SO-DIMM memory really limit the amount of customization SFF enthusiasts can do.

TVwazhere got a reaction from 7strideR in ABS Warping (No bed Issues)
I have the Comgrow Enclosure for my E3 S1 pro and it fits it perfectly. I also print ABS and ASA above 240ºC (between 240 and 270) and have had much more success than below 240.
Essentially you have to make sure the plastic is fully melted, so increasing the heat can help. This is especially important if you're using anything other than a brass nozzle, as steel ones are more durable but dont conduct heat as well (ask me how I know)

TVwazhere reacted to Stahlmann in Tesla's Secret Range Complaint Suppression Team
That straight up sounds like some fucking "Wolf of Wall Street"-like movie script... But yeah, the longer i'm thinking about getting an EV in the future, the more i steer away from Tesla. They were great while they were among the first and only options, but nowadays the competition doesn't sleep. Especially Hyundai is a favourite atm.

TVwazhere reacted to Spotty in ACCC vs Facebook. Fined $20.4 million dollars for false advertising the "privacy" of its VPN.
$20m AUD is a joke to a company like Meta, but it does work out to be $73 per download of the app in Australia. I think that's somewhat reasonable as it's likely more than the value they got from the data they collected through those 271,000 app installs. This was also just for violations in Australia. It doesn't rule out further legal issues they may face in other countries.

TVwazhere got a reaction from SorryBella in New PC (7950X3D?)
It depends on the programs in question.
For example, in video editing, Adobe Premiere Pro is now able to take advantage of CUDA cores for post rendering, as well as Cuda (vs opencl) for GPU acceleration (decidedly much less important).
In many 3D parasolid like softwares, CPU Single Core Speed performance is most important, and GPU only provides accelerated hardware support. Modelers like Blender and Maya can leverage GPU's better, with Blender's performacne being VERY based on GPU power compared to the later.
If you're only using slicer software for 3D printing (and no actual CAD work) then GPU performance is not important.

Dunno if this is the right place, got yelled at about sections.
I think this is so cool. I knew this was how it worked, but I never really knew what it looked like.
