tS_kStin got a reaction from Haro in NCIX US Site Up and Running?
Selling a $1300 lens for $1 though. I see no way that could go wrong.

tS_kStin got a reaction from Victor Golf in LTT Folding Team's Emergency Response to Covid-19
I am back to fold again after years of being dark. Nice to see a serious PPD jump from my old GTX780 to my GTX 1080.

I like it. The Black and white was a good choice I think. I would prefer if the line of parked cars on the left was out of it. So just be on the left side of the car looking right and not the other way around. But I wasn't there so I am not sure what is on the right side.
Overall I like it. 8.5/10, easily could be higher, just the slight composition gripe I have is holding it back.

tS_kStin got a reaction from HelloItsPersonalHD in Desktop in a truck?
Possible yes, personally I would just do a tablet install, just about the same thing, much much easier and it is meant to be portable already so powering it is not an issue at all.

mechanicalkeyboards.com. http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/index.php?l=product_detail&p=214
Edit: Just filter by MX black switches. Then find one you like then you can buy it there or search for it other places.

tS_kStin got a reaction from Plingen in nvidia surround
I think they all have to b the same res. I have to turn my 144hz monitor down to 60hz when i want to do surround so you have to make the 2560x1080 run at 1920x1080, however I am not totally sure if the horizontal res matters.

tS_kStin got a reaction from Prokart2000 in Two NZXT Kraken install in one system, will the kranken control work ?
They should both work I would think but I am not sure but SWAP the x40 to the GPU and put the x60 on the CPU. a CPU kicks out a lot more heat so the better cooler should be on the CPU.

tS_kStin reacted to PuNkPoEtS in Custom loop or 2x Kraken x60s (cpu & gpu) ?
@Noctus
well firstly alot of people will say upgrade the GPU first as getting a fullcover block for that card will be difficult. and now the pros and cons for the watercooling part.
PROS FOR CUSTOM LOOP OVER AIO:
expandability as you can add more radiators.
with the more radiators you can have a quieter system.
better temps due to copper radiators over aluminium.
it looks alot better and more customization on looks.
CONS FOR CUSTOM LOOP OVER AIO:
its alot more expensive.
you have to do maintenance.
can be hard to get the parts you want.
if you get a universal block for the GPU it will be the same as getting the AIOs as you will still have to aircool the memory and the VRMs but if you want to water cool the whole card it will be alot better to get the custom loop
the minimum radiator space for a CPU and GPU loop would be for a custom loop is 3x120 or 3x140 depends on the fans you wish to choose

tS_kStin reacted to JoshM in Should I swap Cases?
This ^ I upgraded my old rig to a HAF 922 off a mate which was great (as it was $10) but when I did my build I got a C70 and it is a massive improvement.
It's worth getting a great case first time around unless you are going to re-use/need another case for your old pc.
-
tS_kStin got a reaction from JoshM in Should I swap Cases?
From my experience, get a good case the first time, I had a $60 case when I first built then a year later I upgraded to a C70 by Corsair and it is so much better, more cable management, cooler temps, better build, more rad mounting, more better in general. The case was the biggest mistake I made on the initial build so I would say a get a good one.
Edit: Your temps however are fine.

tS_kStin got a reaction from Fluffinator in MacBook Pro, how will it handle?
I was thinking you were going to run games on OSX lol. Being you are putting windows on it, it will do fine on lower and med settings no AA being it does have a discrete GPU.

tS_kStin got a reaction from Scionyde in Which gaming laptop?
Well do you want a 15.6 or a 17" laptop? Personally I like the 15.6 so I would get that one (or the Lenovo Y50) but that is just me.
