so im looking to get a gaming laptop for gaming on the go and codeing. it has to have decent batery life and good specs. the two that are high on my list are:

Well do you want a 15.6 or a 17" laptop? Personally I like the 15.6 so I would get that one (or the Lenovo Y50) but that is just me.

Well do you want a 15.6 or a 17" laptop? Personally I like the 15.6 so I would get that one (or the Lenovo Y50) but that is just me.

 

Pretty much this; maybe I'm missing something, but as far as I can tell, the only difference is the screen size?

 

EDIT: If battery life is important, I'd assume that the 15" would be a bit better than the 17" because of the smaller screen?

Since they are same specs it's a personal choice between 15.6" or 17".

IF I was getting it, I would go for the 17" simply because I prefer a larger screen. But if you need a lightweight portable laptop the 15.6" is the way to go.

Battery: Depends, usually 17" models carry a slightly larger battery to compensate for the larger screen, but if they are the same capacity the 15.6" will give you slightly better battery life.

Maybe with the backlight part but they both have the same amount of pixels so I think they will have the same within margin of error. But the bigger might have a larger battery.
