so the rumored shadowplay feature which lets you record all the time and store a defined amount of footage at all times, dynamically clearing out parts of the video and adding to it.
this would allow you to go back say,20 minutes prior when you had that awesome killstreak and grab that footage, where in any other situation it'd have been lost.
on top of that this also has very little impact on performance due to the use of an onboard h.264 encoder on all GTX 6xx & GTX 7xx cards (only ones which are compatible with shadowplay.

so to try it out download GeForce experience when it's updated on the 25.
tell me how it works out when you try it. ;)

I answered depends on X,and for me X would be how much better the card is than my own,vs how much it costs.if they get a $400 card that is about on par with the GTX 780 I'd actually consider it.

and for the second one I said as long as it doesn't drive up the price, because wha AMD has going for their cards is that they're amazing deals usually, and if it made them cost as much as,or more than,Nvidia cards people may abandon AMD,and we need to have more than just Nvidia

Hello everyone!! I have been experiencing some odd issues while gaming on my machine. It usually only lasts about 20 minutes and stops. When I'm playing a game, the game will be running fine, then lag for a few seconds. I have EVGA precision x up on my second monitor, and I can see the meter go from max down to 300 during this. Not really sure what is going on. Any ideas? Oh and I'm not overclocking my vid card at the moment. I know I should be, but I'm only play DayZ at the moment soooo......yea.

I bought the above graphics card a couple weeks ago for a new build. Its a fantastic card, capable of playing Metro: Last Light and Planetside 2 on high settings with more than acceptable framerates. I put it under 100% load through folding@home and the temps never exceeded 55 derees C at stock settings.

There is only one problem I have, a high pitched whine is audible when the card is under load and the fans are at 50% (as measured in msi afterburner). The whine is very quiet but it definitely noticeable in a quiet room. I wanted to run folding@home 24/7 once I was back in a dorm room since I'm not paying for electricity there but the whine will probably stop that.

So as much as this is a review I would also like to know if anyone knows of fixes for this problem. I'm keeping the card, the benefits are too good considering the sale I got it on but fixing this would be awesome :D

Microsoft has confirmed officially that the XBox One will do online checks, on XBox own website.

To be exact, the XBox One will do 24h checks, and if you play from a different console, with your account, it will do hourly checks.
    Offline gaming is NOT POSSIBLE.

    Also Microsoft adds:

    Source: http://news.xbox.com/2013/06/connected

In the press announcement, Microsoft's Don Mattrick said that the console, will "not have always-on requirement for single-player games".
and adds "Gamers can calm down, we got you covered," Mattrick said.
    Source: http://www.polygon.com/2013/6/6/4403924/xbox-one-always-on-online-requirements

I guess Microsoft has a different definition of "Always-on". For me it is always on. Because as soon as the time lapse, and you have no internet connection, you can't play your game.

On the ASUS Republic of Gamers Facebook page, it has been revealed that they are coming out with a 4K display of their own, the PQ321 True 4K UHD Monitor.

So far, they have revealed that it have a resolution of 3840x2160 with an aspect ration of 16:9. It is going to be on a 31.5" screen size with LED-backlit using an IGZO display.

At the back of the monitor you can see that it has 2 HMDI inputs and 1 DisplayPort input with a headphone and microphone pass-through. With that DisplayPort, I'm most certain it will be at 60Hz.

No pricing has been announced but if it will be within the $1000-$1500 price range, I might just consider getting one myself.

CountChoculitis reacted to Artorias in Noctua Display RotoSub Active Noise Cancellation CPU Cooler
    Author: Ryan Martin (eTeknix)

Noctua teamed up with RotoSub quite some time ago and Noctua have been working with them ever since to bring RotoSub’s Active Noise Cancelletion (ANC) technology to Noctua’s products. At Computex 2013 Noctua unveiled something very special, the first working prototype of a RotoSub-inspired CPU cooler design.

On the face of it uses a slightly adapted NH-D14 heatsink and adds an NF-A14 fan to the center. Yet the details are key because the NF-A14 fan has been heavily adapted with RotoSub ANC technology and features a wider 30mm fan frame for higher airflow. The whole design uses a custom designed metal shroud to enclose the CPU cooler.

Furthermore Noctua are claiming an impressive full ram compatibility up to 70mm in height, because there is no outside fan. Currently this design is only in prototype and you can see a more in depth video overview of the new prototype below.

Why do I want this when I already have a gaming desktop? Anyways the gaming notebooks that most intrigued me were the thin and light Gigabyte and MSI ones with a gtx 765m. I could justify getting one of those since they would be laptops you could actually use and carry around but with the ability to game also.

So I finally attempted again to get a high/stable overclock on my cpu again. After a lot of playing, the highest stable overclock i could get was 4.6ghz @ 1.27v with temps avg. at around 66-68c... this seems rather low for me... and no matter what i give her (volts, multiplier) I cant get any higher... any suggestions?

Just upgraded about a month ago from a budget build to this. Decided I wanted to go silent for this build and this is how it turned out. Only regret I have atm is the reference blower on the GTX 680 which is the loudest part of my system especially when overclocked. I got a great deal on it and it was a significant upgrade from my old card so I went with it. Now I wish I would have waited for the 770 :(. Oh well. Better just upgrade to a 780 once gigabyte releases a windforce model....

The 4.6ghz CPU OC is 24 hour prime stable with 0 WHEA errors in windows also. Max temp was 88 C.
