No complaints there. Didn't think it would make sense to do that since my front fans were intakes. My initial logic was to exhaust air from behind my motherboard out.  Good stuff thanks guys.

I did yes. It looks like lost a few degrees on idle and a few at load. No longer as hot. Running a street cpu stress test in CPU-Z. 

I'm starting to acquire some SA artisan resin keycaps I have a lord of the rings keycap from DROP that is SA and that doesn't bother me profile wise because well its on the top of the keyboard in a place that isn't that bothersome. I recently purchased the marvel drop caps the iron man gauntlet enter key and the cap/hammer backspace and they are both SA. I'm curious if the profile incline will make things uncomfortable enough that it would be better for me to get a full SA keycap set from Ducky they are a few on amazon or maybe a SA set on Drop not sure. Could use some guidance from someone who is a bit more knowledgeable in the mechanical keyboard space please. 
 
 

Very creative. Quick update got the stick one it slid off to the side and the rubber on the bottom ripped off returned it. Got my leveler out it's barely unlevel I'm just going to leave alone for now pretty frustrating. I may revisit things later. I constantly clean my PC with a data vac. Didn't want a motherboard stand off solution or rbg setup may grab a pci slot one later.

I ended up getting the Schiit stack worked within my budget and I remember Linus reviewing them some time ago. I would of preferred one unit but since the pricing was in line I went with them. Modi - Dac (Black) and Magni Heresy (Black). Didn't need anything crazy so hopefully it'll all work out.

I've been planning out my build and I recently picked up a G.Skill Trident Z DDR 3600 kit for my next build. I have currently on my setup both 140mm fans on my NH-D15 which isn't a problem with Z clearance (clearance before my case becomes a factor). I have a Fractal Design 6 which has enough z/height clearance for it to work with me adjusting the fan sitting on the ram slots higher. Do I just offset or do I grab a 120mm fan and call it a day. Not sure what will do a better job for air cooling my build. This is for a Intel based build. 

What resolution do you typically play games at? 
 
I'm leaning toward the 3900X as well because I doubt you'll find a better overall "value," but that value is a bit diminished if you're not planning on taking advantage of the AM4's platform when the next generation of Zen chips drop. Also we cannot discount the pure gaming performance that Intel can deliver. For example, at 1080P/1440P gaming even a 9900K is objectively faster than the 3900X the vast majority of the time, a margin that I'd expect to grow with the 10700K. So if the pricing were the same, I'd have to recommend the 10700K for gaming. 

You can always wait until the 10700k comes out to see where prices stand, if you arent in a hurry, since it might be a while before the cpu and mobos are available. Im guessing May.
 
I havent heard of the amd cpu pins being a problem. My CPU always goes straight from the packaging into the motherboard. I guess if you're really struggling with mounting an air cooler and rocking it back and forth it could possibly be slightly worrying(noctuas can sometimes be a bitch to install), but motherboards are almost as expensive as CPUs so bending pins on either one would suck horribly. If you have an AIO not so much since they are pretty idiot proof to install. You could also buy microcenters warranty. 
 
Microcenters great. Cant say enough good things about them so definitely a bonus if u live near one. 

Everything just seems like a awful choice I win here I lose there. But I'd say 6 years is long enough to wait on a CPU/MOBO/RAM upgrade originally I was going to wait till DDR5 but intel and amd are dragging there feet there. The whole point in my asking was to try and get why people who suggest AMD Ryzen dont look at it from a strictly gaming standpoint to if you do production and gaming this if you do gaming then this. I just don't see the increase that would warrant it if I'm given both options at essentially equal pricing. 

I'm currently looking to upgrade from a i7 4790k and can't help but feel frustrated with choosing between the 2. Reviewers and YouTube's have a love affair for the Ryzen stuff but they always say if you stream or do professional work it makes Ryzen better. When I look at gaming benchmarks Intel is better and that's all that I do. I intend on getting the i7 10700k because it's either going to be in line with or better than the i9 9900k. Am I looking at things wrong. Just looking for a healthy discussion about my internal dilemma

I may OC but that depends on what headroom I get from the next gen i7 whicc has same thread and count as the i9 current gen 

I want to give AMD a chance given my first build was a socket 939 build and Intel has got very complacent. I just don't know how important pci e 4 is currently. Normally it takes a new memory standard to get me to change I'll wait a little longer I think with the possibility of new Intel z490 chips in April 

Thanks was trying to gauge it out. I'd probably wait for black Friday sale if I switch.

Finally got the dang PCI-Express Card. Okay so this baby works oh does it ever. I had to end up using the PCI-Express full slot to achieve the speeds making my graphics card run at 8x but providing my ssd the full bandwidth it was hungry for. Dem Read speeds
 
 

Dolby Digital live is used in everything its software surround sound powered by the mixamp and the sound card. And not necessarily louder but a cleaner sound that I prefer. 

"IPS is bad for gaming" is a myth. Please ignore people who say that. There's no point in getting a TN display unless price prevents you from getting an equivalent IPS display.
