  1. Since you plan to keep the system for an extended period of time get the best you can afford right now. Don't settle for less and regret it later.
  2. If you don't use much storage I would go with option 1.
  3. Seems to me like you came to a conclusion on your own.
  4. Also make sure m.2 is enabled in the bios.. Depending on your mobo it might not be.
  5. Is the bios updated to the most recent version?
  6. Dremel would make quick work of it. Seems like a good idea based on what you've said. I would try to find a blue print or maybe patent on the cooler to try and deduce if the heat pipe extends into that piece or if its just there for purely cosmetic concerns.
  7. That my friend is coil-whine. Could possibly mean defective but usually not.
  8. Pretty solid build, what are the extra fans for?
