    Hey, I know it may sound a bit lazy and petty, but are there any plans to add metric to the size guides like most apparel web sites do?

    Hi,

    you do not have fabric weight info on any of your T-shirts. It didn't bother me that much for normal T-shirts, but not having it specified for the Merino one is raising a lot of red flags for me.

    Linus said to compare the price with competition, and that you are quite competitive, but that comparison can't be made if we do not know the fabric weight.

    Good Merino T-shirts have a grammage around 180g/m² - 160g/m², ok-ish have around 130g/m² - 120g/m², anything 100g/m² and below is just not really worth it.

    A Merino T-shirt with fabric weight of 160g/m², from a good quality shop, costs about 65$ to 70$ (a final price, including VAT etc.), compared to your T-shirt which is 73$ (including 21% VAT and 12% customs, ignoring shipping, handling etc.).
    So if your fabric weight is 160g/m² or more, then you would be competitive, if it's 100g/m² or lower, I would hardly call that competitive (a 155g/m² 89% Merino 11% Polyamid, with sleeves from 98% merino costs about 24$ here).

    Please, add the fabric weight info to the store.

    Thank you.

    Yep it's horrible, someone threw condiments at a wall and decided to make a motherboard out of it. At least good ole Fractal still makes proper cases with solid side panels, so you don't have to look at it once it's done .

    MiChAeLoKGB reacted to Zando_ in AM5 motherboard with support for 3 GPUs
    If you can run them with only PCIe 4.0 x4, and get a taller case so you can fit one GPU in the very bottom slot, the ASRock B650 LiveMixer could work: https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/B650 LiveMixer/Specification.us.asp#Specification. It has 3 4.0 x16 hardware slots, top is x16 from CPU, 2nd is x4 from CPU, 3rd is x4 from chipset.

    If you want AM5 it will probably have to be an X670E board.  I believe some have a 3rd 4.0x8 slot.  You can just run all three cards at x8.

    MiChAeLoKGB reacted to Hamsandwich283 in Ryzen 7 5800x high temps
    I have been testing for about 2 weeks now 😫 and i have made some discoveries, still fine tuning but have made some improvements

    So stock settings right out the box below:
    MOBO                = B550 F Gaming
    CPU                   = Ryzen 7 5800x
    CPU Voltage      = 1.47v
    SOC Voltage      = 1.15v
    BIOS Version      = 1202
    BIOS Temp         = CPU 50°c / CPU package = 61°c
    Idle temp            = 32°c
    R20 Max Temp   = 90°c
    Cooler                = Noctua NH-u12s
    R20 Single core = 623 (Max Temp During R20 single core run = 61°c)
    R20 Multi core    = 6015 (Max Temp During R20 muti core run = 90°c)
    Turbo Boost clocks during cinabench R20 load:
    CPU Single core max frequency = 4850MHz
    CPU Multi core max frequency   = 4550MHz
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    So my current manually set settings:

    TURN OFF PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive)

    MOBO                = B550 F Gaming
    CPU                   = Ryzen 7 5800x
    CPU Voltage      = 1.25v
    SOC Voltage      = 1.1v
    BIOS Version      = 1202
    BIOS Temp         = CPU 40°c / CPU package = 50°c
    Idle temp            = 36°c
    R20 Max Temp   = 82°c
    Cooler                = Noctua NH-u12s
    R20 Single core = 590 (Max Temp During R20 single core run = 53°c)
    R20 Multi core    = 6095 (Max Temp During R20 muti core run = 82°c)
    Turbo Boost clocks during cinabench R20 load:
    CPU Single core max frequency = 4600MHz
    CPU Multi core max frequency   = 4600MHz
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    So couple of things to go over:
    First. PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive),
    This setting in the BIOS basically goes what are voltage limits and ignores the stock settings and what you might set manually as well as it gives the system permission to pushing the CPU to the limit going over the set parameters, so turn this off, it dose help with single core performance, not by a lot but dose help but on the other hand in my case it seemed to hurt multi core performance at the same time

    Second. better temps,
    So i have run Furmark CPU burner on top of R20 and with stock setting it would hit 90°c in about 1-2 minutes on a 16 thread stress test and start to thermal throttle as you can see the frequency dropping by a 1MHz every few seconds as you continue to stress test it, with the adjustments i have made the temps seemed to average out at 85.5°c going up and down between 85.2°c to 85.7°c and not thermal throttling after several minutes testing (i have not done very long testing like 30-60min stress tests yet).
    but what I'm seeing is i have been achieving a high all core frequency then stock setting with less voltage and no thermal throttling (yet, still need to do prolonged testing)

    Third. Lower clocks
    Yes i have sacrificed a small bit of single core performance by limiting the frequency to 4600MHz but i have gained more multi core performance with better temps, as for gaming FPS in the games i play i feel like i have actually gained an extra 5-10 FPS but within margin of error but i have not lost any performance in the games i play

    Please Note: the below is not proper testing, just my observation of the FPS counter in the top left that i always have running

    Beam.NG - before it would sit around 160FPS mostly | after my changes it seemed to sit around 170 mostly (location: Desert map - gas station )
    Assassins creed origins - before it would sit around 70FPS mostly | after my changes it seemed to sit around 75 mostly (location: Second city you visit after leaving home town)

    I play more games then this but I have not being done a hole lot of that in the past 2 weeks, been a few nights playing around in the bios till 1am 😅.

    I need to do more proper testing and more fine tuning of the settings but a bit exhausted with all this at the moment and need to take a break from tweaking settings,
    I have found a configuration that dose not max out my temps under full load and works well in performance, yeah I'm good for the moment 😴,

    hopefully all this might help out someone else as well

    Yes, I know, I have a 60 GB SSD for games that I play often and I just transfer them between HDD and SSD. Having one large SSD would solve that issue for me and allow me to just get rid of that 60 GB SSD...

    Nah, I wont need to access them frequently. Ill probably just have a drive in my PC at all time that will have backups written to it automatically and offload them to drives in closet... I will probably have to find some rubber or soft foam to put them in, just in case.

    That Taichi looks ok (I wanted it when I was thinking about upgrading when 2000 ryzen came out) and I guess it does not have the BIOS issues that its x370 counterpart has. Will be one of the top boards i'll be considering.

    Yep, I like mine on my desk (was fun with Obsidian 800D  ) with nice see through panel (but I have almost all lights inside turned off).

    Thanks, I don't think the 750D has tempered glass side panel and I am not sure how is it compared to other cases in cooling/silence.

    The Dark Base 900 gen 2 costs 225€ in my country and I originally chose the Define R6, because its cheaper (75 € where I love) and has almost same performance as Dark base 900, according to GamersNexus:

    Thanks @EarthWormJM2, but HAF cases are for me a bit too over the top. I like my cases a bit more sleek, the style id go for is like NZXT H700i black & red, or anything more simple. The DBP 900 is also quite OK, for me, but IDK, HAF was just never my style. But again, thank you

    Thank you @TVwazhere, the View 71 (I still can't unhear ThermalFake anytime I hear their name) is a bit too much tempered glass and light for me. I have a PC right in front of my bed on the table, so I want to limit the light on the front, mainly during the night. It's one of the reasons I didn't go for CM H500M Mesh.

    2 Parts that are machined from Aluminum and 1 part that gets die stamped.

    It is a twist and lock design with 3 magnets that prevent the base from being to loose.

    Also with this design is should be easy for Silverstone to offer a shorter single headset mount an a longer double headset option. Only the arm needs to be changed.

    Good design always starts with some good user based research, so here is a quick modular concept I've come up with.

    This design allows the user to clip in as many headset support parts (red parts) as necessary, perhaps up to 3 depending on the strength of the mounting hardware used.

    The design has a curvaceous feel to it but im open to creating a sharper look with rounds rather than ellipsis.

    Ill be creating a few more different concepts over the next few days to try and cover a wide variety of features and looks.

    Any and all feedback welcome!

    It's deployable for safety and aesthetics, but it can't be completely 3D printed as a finished product, so hopefully that's okay.
    I picture it having a spring-loaded depress to release mechanism like you see in some kitchen cupboards.

    I find this type of marketing to really put me off a company, I don't care if it is coming from apple, asus, amd, nvidia, intel or whoever.  I like mature marketing, marketing that is humorous, and informative marketing.  Anyone who feels the need to impugn or even simply name the competition in my book does so because their own product probably doesn't stand on it's own merits.
