Alright I figured that would be an/the answer but I just wanted to check others opinions.
 
I've placed an order for the HD 558 from Amazon and a modmic. I watched a review on them that had quite a lot of views and the guy reviews a lot of headphones it seems (HiFi Heaven) so I know what I'm going for but I'll have to check out the sound and see if they truly work well for CSGO. I figured I can use the modmic with anything, but if I really for some reason do not want the Sennheiser headphones, I'll return them.

Please never recommend the M50 for gaming, the soundstage in it is the worst I've ever used in a game. DT770's are lightyears ahead.

I think what you guys don't seem to understand is that DayZ Standalone is an entirely new game. the ArmA 2 mod was exactly that, a mod. It added some stuff on top of an old game, and there you had it. the Standalone on the other hand is a game built ground-up. sure, there was already an engine for it, but that's just the engine and developing kits. they've made new models for almost everything, they added new mechanics, the new inventory system, they added a brand new vehicle made from scratch, new weapons with excellent models, actual bullet drop and zeroing, diseases including prion diseases if you eat human meat, there's a good eating and drinking system, item degrading, item throwing, new ragdoll, and the list goes on.
 
The game has only been in development for two years. that's not a lot in dev time, and there has happened a lot in that time. And it's not like it's a big development team either. I don't understand the hate towards Dean Hall, he made a good mod, which then other people modded further on, and then he got a team, got help from Bohemia, and made a brand new game. And if you start complaining more about bugs: it's still in alpha. Beta is coming sometime next year. and if you start complaining "how can they sell an unfinished game??": It's called early-access for a reason.

In my experience, the Sennheiser PC 350 SE is superior the the entire DT line.

Oh god, if you have IE80's why would you dare think Astros are good?For a not-so-bassy sound, HD600 is recommendable fromm Sennheiser, K 702 from AKG, DT880 from Beyerdynamic, or ATH-AD1000X from audio-technica. Those would all be a good starting point, and could easily be end-game material if you end up enjoying their neutral sound signature.
Mind you, those all still have noticeable differences, so best to read up on in depth reviews and comparisons before picking.

I Would caution against spending me than a few hundred. Anything you get at that price point will be better that your Astros. From there, it's more about figuring out your preferences until you know what you want for an end-game headphone.
Any ole sub-100 dollar USB Mic + a $20 boom arm will be enough for anyone sort of serious professional work.

An AMP/DAC that couples as a hand-warmer as well for the low low price of $200

From everything ive read from actual studio guys the m50x arent really that good, they seem to be used a lot by people who arent actually that into audiogear. Almost everyone serious ive seen has reccomended the Beyers or AKGs over them.

Just an update. And an update to agree with all that's been said about the Razer Tiamats...
 
They are a big piece of crap!!!
Received them on Monday, plugged them in, tried them, unplugged them, boxed them and they were sold today! Goodbye!
 
After tried the Razers, I went online and ordered a pair of HyperX Clouds.
Hope they turn out to be better.
