Maybe something like a GT730 Low Profile could have the same mounting, but there are no blocks for them. Here's the K620 with the mounting visible.

I don't think so, the mounting holes according to the pictures on Newegg ,are much more rectengular, and most GPUs these days have a square arrangement of holes.

No sense in watercooling a k620. Its low power enough that you'll never get any sort of real increase in performance from keeping it cooler.
 
But yes... it appears to use the same mounting positions as a low profile 740.

Uhh... Not sure about where you live, but if you're looking to get a car that's less than 5 years old you're not even coming CLOSE to an M3 or M4 in BC for $36k... (Example 7 year old M3, 75k KM, $40k asking).
I mean sure, if you want a 10+ year old car with outdated tech you can get something "nicer" for that money, but that's not really who this car is aimed at.

Rendering is more to the CPU, I'd recommend i7 CPU (its hyper-threading helps). But if you think you don't need hyper-threading then i5.

They ship with their own water coolers for a reason.
Then at this point a quad core would be enough for you, but you can go slightly high end without breaking bank. 4820k/4930k will serve you fine. If you live within an hour of Microcenter, they sell CPUs cheaper than anyone. Then you can order the other components through Amazon, Newegg, etc..

If you don't have a fireplace and want something to put your stockings over this Christmas then it's a good choice. Otherwise even a 4790K will be better.

From experience, CAD modelling is more gpu than cpu bound. Specifically, it does not benefit much from the multiple cores and threads. You may even find that a z97 cpu will perform just as well.
I would suggest downgrading to a z97 i7 and putting more budget into your gpu, quadro k4200. If you are going to be running engineering simulations and rendering too then
your build is good and you should keep the x99 cpu.  Also if you will be running this pc all day, you may benefit from a higher efficiency psu.

yes, you can use 2 diffrent cards in a system. LTT has a video where they even have a crossfire, and sli in the same system

I was actually thinking of lighting the plexiglass, and they are right, as far as performance, it won't really make much of a difference, but I thought it would be a nice case mod, and windowed sidepanels are the way to go

If you're going to check out a Fractal case, the Arc Midi R2 is definitely worth the extra bit of money. The Core cases are, as the name suggests, a line of budget-oriented cases.

Yes, it WILL fit. Just won't match up with the backplate for EVGA coolers.
