The Fractal Core 3500 is the closest

Or the Urban S41. He'll be able to fit the Dark Rock 3 in there.

According to all of the info I found, this case ( http://www.thermaltake.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00002234 ) only supports up to 155mm cooler. I would like the reliability of an air cooler, and was wondering if anyone knew of something under $80, that also looks decent...I know its near impossible, but if such a thing exists, and you know about it, thanks so much in advance. :)

Why not get a different case?

I know...sorry :/ im a bit of a stick in the mud. i kind of love the looks of the R31, even with its flaws. Is there anything similar with similar price?

If you're going to check out a Fractal case, the Arc Midi R2 is definitely worth the extra bit of money. The Core cases are, as the name suggests, a line of budget-oriented cases.
