Dell revealed XPS 13 refresh’s product overview video on Youtube

After many leaks from retailers (http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/437875-latest-leaks-showed-dell-xps-13-and-asus-ux303-with-intel-skylake-cpu-and-possibly-thunderbolt-3-on-the-xps-13/), Dell finally revealed the XPS 13 refreshes. It is pretty much the same spec that leaked earlier, Skylake processor, Thunderbolt 3, USB Type-C port, and others. What's surprising is that it can have up to 16GB of ram, and 1TB of ssd (still not known if it is PCI-E based or SATA-based).

I can't find any news about the reveal of this refresh other than those earlier leaks, thus no official info on pricing and availability.

Linus complained, and they listened.

Damn, hopefully it's cheaper than the surface book.

@AresKrieger 4k monitor(s), external storage or even a hub with usb 3.0/1.

I know thunderbolt is faster but what are you going to use it for? I think usb 3.0 is just more useful overall.

Don't forget Thunderbolt 3 can works as a USB Type-C port, and I do think it is more useful than USB 3.0 ports ;)

That's nice, a seamless glass screen was really needed. Looks like the top bezel was made thicker though, maybe they put the camera back at the top?

Anyway, I already bought the 2015 one lol

Not sure what I would use a type c port for honestly, type A is the only one I use (and micro on my phone that I don't care about) as I don't have a printer anymore, the only thing I've seen with type c are apple chargers, I know they have good power delivery but the faster you charge your battery the faster it degrades.

Well 4k monitors using it gives a undisputable purpose, (not one I care about but at least its useful), as for the storage I can't find a usb drive that even tops out usb 3.0 transfer rate so I'd say thunderbolt 3 storage isn't worth my time right now, as for the hub meh.

Professionals have thunderbolt NAS's as they can daisy chain multiple from a single connection, also i forgot to mention external gpu's. Im not saying there is a mind blowing amount of use's and it's a necessity to have TB3 but this is a premium laptop should have a premium feature like TB3.

TBH I'm a bit disappointed that neither Surface Pro 4 nor the Surface Book featured Thunderbolt 3/USB Type-C port....
