how do you update you amd driver ? uninstal and then reinstal the new one -or just update ?

do you uninstall the old video card driver and then install the new one

or just update it with catalyst center ?

I always remove the old one, reboot, install the new one and reboot again.

Uninstall

Reboot

Install

 

If troubles happen.

Download and run DDU (DisplayDriverUninstaller)

Select AMD

It does the rest..

After its done, and back in Windows normally..

Install Drivers

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

I just install overtop unless something is being stupid on the off chance.

I always use ddu in safe mode to remove old drivers before updating, there is probably no need for it, but i just feel like the extra 2 mins it takes to remove all with ddu is worth it.
