considering we are at the 900 series cards with the 990 and cards lower than 950 not out i was starting to think what would be the name of nvidias next gpu.

 

if you dont understand me i mean the GTX lineup.

 

once we had the GT lineup

 

now we have the GTX

 

what do you think is next?

1000 series probably, Just like how Intel went from x99 to z170.

I'm not sure but I wonder if they will go back to 4 digit numbers or do something like AMD and have like a N280 and N280ti. Ha I doubt they would but it would be funny.

There will always be GTX but not sure what is coming after 900 (I know it's 1,000 but that is beside the point). I used to have 7800 GTX from something like 2006 so I doubt they'll get rid of that nomenclature.

 

It may follow a similar style to what AMD has with the R5/R7/R9 thing but maybe G5/G7/G9 and no on.
