Black Ops 3 Beta Review

I know someone already did one on this but it wouldn't hurt getting another viewpoint right?

 

The first one talks mainly about the pc related parts of the beta. Glitches and things like that.

This is my first video ever so cut me some slack

 

 

 

 

The 2nd one is probably more relevant and a bit better put together. It's mainly about gameplay.

 

 

 

 

 

Overall Black Ops 3 looks like its gonna be one of the best Call of Duty games in a while.

The last COD I bought was Black Ops 1 on the PS3 and none of them have really caught my attention until this one.

 

Any suggestions for future videos would be much appreciated.

I am changing my mic, I just used what I had since the beta time was limited.

EDIT: black borders are there because it was recorded at 1680x1050 but that will be fixed in future videos.

I played it for about literally 1 minute, got into a game and got about 5 kills in 30 seconds. My FPS was good but it was using like 7GB of ram so it was unplayable. Closed it and moved on.

played it for an hour, stopped after I realized the best player in the room was just knifing. How people think call of duty still is good blows me away. But then again the worst things always do become the biggest and best. Look at pewdiepie and LoL

Just remember to keep an unbiased opinion and stay to the point. (I noticed that in the first video you cut to some clips of you playing well which some people may not have liked if they were just looking for a review. I would suggest maybe using them as a clip that runs while you talk about a gameplay feature or something like that to keep the attention of your audience)

 

The only thing I would really recommend to work on is quality (Which I know may be limited to the equipment you have, but for now do the best with what you got and try to make sensible purchases in the future that you know will give your viewers higher quality content)

 

I probably still won't buy BO3, but still. Nice video!

Yea in my first video I mention how the game kept crashing. I could only finish half of the games so I have way more losses, but fps was really high (110 on a 7870). If they fix the crashing it would be one of the best performing games.

It would be really sad if it wasn't running that well considering graphics haven't moved since Cod4. It runs okay at the very best given the map complexity and graphics.

As far a video quality, mic quality isn't an immediate fix but I would do that eventually.

 

The first thing I would do is get rid of the black bars. A lot of people find the really annoying for content consumption.

 

I know this is hard to do without buying better hardware, bur I would just improve overall video quality. I can see a lot of jagged edges and pixels which are from the settings in which you have the game running. Again, hard to fix without getting new hardware, but something you might want to look into.

 

Also, as a last thing. I would improve the overall flow of the video with what you do with your video editing and transitions. But this isn't something you can improve immediately, that will take experience.

I already have AA on. I wish I could use 4k VSR but because my monitor is 1680x1050 it only supports up to 1920x1200 (I'd rather use 1920x1080).

Maybe when I have a chance I can switch out my monitor for a 1080p one and then I'll be able to use 4k VSR.

My son picked it up and played it for several hours though and I watched him progress during this time. I was a bit surprised that the weapons seem so imbalanced, guns wouldn't instantly kill characters as it took several shots. He then picked up some weird knife that allowed him to run around and basically stab someone and kill them instantly.

That's how all COD games are. The guns take several shots (unless its a sniper or shotgun). And knives are instant kills.

I dont get how people enjoyed the beta. did you guys not feel that laggy sluggish mouse? like moving the dang thing through jello. and yes i turned all windows and in game filtering off. it was horrid.

A lot of people complained about that but I thought it was pretty good. The movement was sharp. In my 2nd video in one of the clips I made a super sharp movement right onto somebody. I don't think that would've been possible if the aiming wasn't predictable or consistent.

 

EDIT: I did feel the sluggishness in COD Ghosts so I know what you're talking about but I just didn't feel any of it.

I won't be buying this game. Cancerous community as usual and it seems like a combination of Titanfall and Destiny. Titanfall does movement better and the Destiny aspects of the game are the reason I don't like Destiny.

 

I can only hope a WWII Call of Duty game will ever come out, as it will probably be the only one worth buying for the foreseeable future.

I only played WaW on the wii when it came out and I literally had 64 kills every round when playing it. So either nobody good plays or things need to be nerfed

I enjoyed the Black Ops 3 Beta, despite the FPS spikes I was receiving. I always enjoy the Call of Duty franchise, even though some of their games were crap, like Ghosts.

What problems did you have? All of my problems were mentioned in the first video, black fog, weird gun sound, and worst of all crashing every 10 minutes.
