Corsair vengeance k70 vs strafe

I've been planning on buying the k70 for a little while now, the price is a bit much for me but I was going to get it on amazon at the end of the mint if I couldn't find a sale before then. I recently heard about the new corsair strafe and I was wondering if you guys thought it would be better for me to go with that instead. I don't particularly like how it's plastic but I think I can get past that. What do you guys think?

The vengeance is $150CDN on Amazon and that's the price I see it at most places

Thanks!

My Opinion is that get the Strafe if your a fan of small keyboards like many CM storm ones Rosewill Cherry or Ducky and want more lighting features. While the k70 has a wrist rest and is bigger.I'm not a fan of those types of small keyboards though. Depends on you.

What he said, and if you care about lighting stuff, go with the Strafe. The only real difference is that the K70 has a wrist rest and media keys while the Strafe has different lighting effects.

Strafe is straight up a shittier version of the k70 that costs the same and is significantly cheaper for corsair to make.

I wouldn't say shittier but a a cheaper K70

Shittier makes it sound like its inferior or something

K70 cost like 150 at some places

The strafe cost like 100

Same switches

Different Chasis material

No media buttons on the strafe

I would of bought a strafe over a K70

In the US it is straight up shittier considering they both sell for essentially (+/- 10 dollars) the exact same price (as non rgb).

It is an inferior build quality.

It makes a lot of sense for corsair to try to sell them, but until the price decreases substantially it makes literally no sense to buy one.
