So I was just browsing around some forums and came across a particularly nasty troll-tick. Someone had posted a totally normal reply to a thread and included a google search link. The only thing I should have noticed was that the link looked weird, not like a standard google link, but rather just a series of numbers after the .com/. Anyways, I made the mistake of clicking on it and tadaa! I had a google search for "how to find child porn"  :mellow:

I wonder, does google have some kind of alarm system that is triggered by such searches? I'm not really worried about the FBI knocking on my door since I didn't actually click on anything illegal, but just the thought of my IP possibly being logged somewhere in some database irks me.

I think I'm probably overreacting here, but I just can't help feeling paranoid now. Any thoughts?

No, google will not send the FBI for looking up where to find child porn. Unless of course you actually looked at child porn, in which case your ISP will send the FBI to you.

Yes thats how it works.

If you type into google search symptomps of your illnes you can expect doctor knocking on your door soon after too.

Yep, reminded me of the lolita-thing too. This was more unexpected though... at least I use a vpn, maybe that helped, I doubt it though... fml

I think there are already websites that ship shit, I've seen some youtubers get it in their mail, I think (and hope) that people didn't actually shit in a plastic box and sent it to someone.

Damn they changed it. It used to be something along the lines of "your IP is <your actual IP here> and it has been reported to the FBI bla bla bla".

Apparently now lolita is just treated like any other search.
