Is you monitor 60 hertz or 144? Mine is 60 does it make that much of a difference?

60 Hz means it refreshes 60 time per second. AKA it can show 60 frames per second.

144 Hz means it can just show 144 frames per  second. If you get 100+ fps in games, it might be worth it.

But i have not used a 144Hz monitor so yeah.. :P

144hz makes a huge difference in fps games.

Yes it does. But, 60 is just fine for most, and IMO, not enough difference to warrant spending bunches on one. Especially since I only game 3 nights a week or so.

60Hz, because I play at 1440p. The only competitive games I play that can hit 1440p 144Hz at max are League and Smite, and they aren't worth buying a new monitor for.

I'm tempted to say 144hz (and potential fps) isn't all that much better than 60hz, Then I'm reminded of a me many years ago saying "What's the big deal with 60fps? 30fps looks OK to me."

Now, without monitoring, I can tell when my framerate drops to 50fps. Where 30fps used to satisfy me, 45fps is unacceptable now. 

Maybe 144 is the bees knees. It's all in what you get used to I guess.

60Hz would be enough for offline games and 144Hz for competitive gaming (LAN or WAN)

60 Hz. Don't want to spend the money required to do a 144 Hz system, since that would be dual GTX 970/980, i7-4790k or better, and a high end board, not to mention the monitor's cost.

144hz, never going back....ever....

I knew that, but had I forgot. With my gtx 745 the only game I get over 100fps is minecraft(without vsync of course), but in other games I get less so I just keep vsync on. Thanks anyway :).

I have 144hz monitor as well and it completely has ruined my life lol. I cant even look at games in 60fps cause I feel like they are lagging

60hz but looking at a 144hz.  I think if someone plays alot of FPS type games then this would be worth considering.
