Webcast

Time: 1:00 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. ET

Exclusive Presentations

  • Lisa Su, President and Chief Executive Officer
  • Mark Papermaster, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
  • Forrest Norrod, Senior Vice President and General Manager Enterprise, Embedded, and Semi-Custom Business Group
  • Devinder Kumar, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

This thread will be updated as I find more information and the goody information becomes available later today. Hopefully we'll see some official Zen roadmaps and maybe even some information regarding Pirate Islands.

Consolidated information

  • Zen features SMT design on FinFET process.
  • Zen features unified AM4 socket for both CPUs and APUs.
  • Zen features DDR4 support on the desktop (CPU + APU) and retains DDR3 support for mobile.
  • Zen mobile will retain FP4 package introduced with Carrizo.
  • K12 to launch in 2017 targeting server and embedded ecosystems.
  • Carrizo to launch this quarter with FreeSync support and substantially improved power efficiency.
  • GCN to see 2x performance per watt in 2016 on FinFET process.
  • "R9 300" series to launch this quarter confirmed to be running High Bandwidth Memory (Fiji).
  • 25x20 initiative for 25x mobile power efficiency by 2020.
  • Invest more into existing IP (high performance x86/ARM and GPU compute) for more profitable products.

Zen with SMT on FinFET has been confirmed.

IBqTkD8.png

Zen will bring a 40% IPC uplift over Excavator (or roughly a 61% IPC uplift over current FX offerings (Bdver3 +10%, Bdver4 +5%)).

6QfGEHi.png

K12 will come in 2017.

EhNsdE1.png

Zen and Zen based APU's will share a unified AM4 socket. The new Zen chips will retain the FX branding.

bWt5KuZ.png

Both FX and APUs will come with DDR4 support while mobile APU's will also retain DDR3 support. "High Core Count" I presume would imply 8 core 16 thread FX chips.

u32vXHx.png

Carrizo to launch this quarter with FreeSync support and substantial power efficiency (41% faster graphics performance compared to Intel HD 5500).

HTzM6RD.png

The upcoming graphics cards will retain the RX 300 series branding (some speculation suggested a jump to RX 400).

8BxcDCK.png

Mobile graphics roadmaps also were shared with again not much information.

oqqC4nZ.png

New GPU's with HBM (Fiji) will launch this quarter (likely along with the rest of the series).

8tgvutA.png

HBM officially confirmed on Pirate Islands. Lisa Su referenced that it will extend across their product profiles (hint hint APU with HBM).

8cv6D4a.png

New GCN architecture slated for 2016 with 2x power efficiency on FinFET.

3tWDfrM.png

AMD is more focused on high performance x86 and GPU compute.

yW6npic.png

25X power efficiency in the mobile segment by 2020 is still an initiative for AMD.

WjgTIu9.png

Lisa Su presented a decision portfolio which explains future decisions and past decision such as why the recent shutdown of SeaMicro.

Doubt it, look at the type of event. I can't see them releasing it, but I can see them showing the roadmap and maybe even saying when zen will be released but I highly doubt any more info on the 300 series.

Well, 390x will recover marketshare so It completely fits in this event type, which is just a try to make eyecandy for investors
