What's wrong with the Strix? If I look at the reviews and such it seems to be a great card.

Honestly I don't see the hate for the card either. There's one thing I can see though, the thing is MASSIVELY overhyped. 

It's praised like it's a god card yet Gigabyte offers a better PCB and binned chips, MSI offers the same 0dB feature but has bigger fans and better OC potential due to 8+6 pin instead of a single 8-pin and ASUS has the worst customer support out of any of the Nvidia brands. That's why I dislike the strix so much

No not really. Yes I dislike the strix but that's more because it's receiving a ridiculous amount of praise which it does not deserve. It's still a good card but it's massively overpraised.

This place kinda goes in spurts for different things, when the 900's first launched everyone was all up in arms about the Strix, then everyone loves the G1 Gaming, and I am now starting to see more love for the Zotac cards.

 

I would argue right now the G1 is over hyped, in a month or so it may be the Zotac that is over hyped. It comes and it goes. No need to hate any of them.

The Zotac Extreme is (Apparently) real shite at the moment. It can not overvolt past reference and quickly fails tests.

I have no real loyalty to any GPU maker, my last card was a Zotac. It was inexpensive and exactly what it claimed to be, nothing more nothing less. That was before Zotac started trying to be a premium card though. Now, I dont know if I would buy one at the current prices.
