Is it just me or are m-itx computers awesome

I just think it's amazing how much hardware you can cram into such a small space, that is why i always love those Console PC builds :)

I prefer ATX, but would like to do a build in a Prodigey M, as a spare PC for when friend's come over, instead of them having to use a crappy dell.

I like the idea of small portable PCs, though I personally prefer full towers from Phanteks. Will probably built an mITX system for my brother when he wants to upgrade. =]

ITX is great and all but what if I want more than 16GB of RAM? What if I want 2 GPUs and a soundcard? ITX is too limiting. Cute, yes. Practical, no.

It's perfect for if you don't need all that stuff (which most users won't (yes even custom PC builders)), but you want something portable yet still powerful.

I'd argue an ITX PC is more practical than a full tower.

I like consoles converted to pcs, those are pretty cool. I want to do one one day, but I don't have a spare console laying around. If my PS3 or ps4 breaks, then I might do one.

You have to remember that some people don't need GPUs I'm SLI or soundcards or even 1 million dollar motherboards. I like the style and the performance is really good if u do it right

I find them awesome, too. Personally, I wouldn't need anything like SLI/Crossfire or soundcards, I've always preferred one good GPU, I've been researching on computer parts for ages and I still have not find a reason to need anything more than an mITX can offer, course more RAM will be the ultimate answer, but I'll leave that to when I need to do professional computing works that need more than 16GBs of RAM, which is of course, I've deemed unnecessary for the time being.
Also, I've heard about DDR4 with 16GB/stick capacity, anyone remembers? Or is it just my mind playing tricks on me? Because if that's the case, the future of mITX is still going strong.

After building my system, I could help think of how much more compact everything could be in m-itx or micro atx. Definitely going to consider them in the when building a new system in the future.

Even I like ITX builds, but I would never build it for myself. There is no expansion in those.

I prefer M-ATX, just in case I ever wanted to build a small form factor rig, but with two cards. Or a card an another expansion card.

What do they know of England, who only England know?

I am looking for a portable powerhouse at reasonable price, and an mITX is a better alternative for a laptop*

*if you go somewhere where there is a monitor

I am at college, and the computers here are horrible, so does the peripherals, so I am going to get an mITX build so I can use my own PC

And honestly, if you would need more than 2 GPUs then you are running multi monitor setup (or 1 4k) and then you must make a compromise

But if you do not need THAT serious GPUs or you are not running shitloads of VM, 16 GB is plenty and even 1 GPU is loads for single monitor gaming

(unless 4K but as an early adopter you must suffer the consenquences, but the likes of 290x can run them well in medium settings if I recall well)

mATX for the win!

Although for a small steambox HTPC I would be very tempted to go mITX.
