How long do mice last?

Bradley

I have had this Logitech G600 for some where between 1-2 years. I have dropped it off my desk a few times but it has always been fine. And when it gets dirty I clean it. Obviously the bottom of the mouse is a little scratched where little things get dragged under it but I really like the mouse and I am planning on getting the same one when this one breaks. How much longer will I get out of it? When should I get a new one. The cable is pretty good but just a little worn.

If you don't abuse it, a really long time. I have a mouse from 1995.

Deppends, if you find a mouse you like you can easilly use it for 5+ years without a problem, I don't think your mouse will break before you want a new one.

I've had the deathadder for 2-3 years (the one everyone says break all the time) so anything is possible.  If you take care of it 5 years +

Don't change it until it breaks, it's THAT simple :P realistically it will last you a couple more years AT LEAST provided you don't abuse it

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Well... I still have some old Microsoft Intellimouse (USB) that was my grandma's. Only thing wrong with it is that the right click button is dead (I dropped it).

They last forever. I had mine fall down a flight of stairs, spilt water on it, and to this day haven't cleaned it, and it still runs fine.

My cooler master storm sentinel, lasted 3 years, the only reason I had to stop using it was the pads/feet came off so it stuck to everything. Replaced it with the Cyborg R.A.T.7 and still in use 2 years later.

Mine is a gaming mouse from 2007. You can tell that it is old, but it has a laser and it is wireless. Also it fell down like a billion times. Still works. Logitech is the Nokia in the mouse business.

The last time I dropped that mouse this happened:

I've had an old Dell ball mouse last for 8 years...

It is so much fun to play with those balls. What did I just say?

My logitech g9 click started to half work after 5 years of use and a bit of abuse.

I have other dell and logitech mice that are easily 10 years old.

I still have the original angular apple adb mouse somewhere.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

I got my logitech G5 when battlefield 2 came out.  That was like what, 9 years ago?  It still works great, but I have since replaced it with a G9x, but even this thing is like 3 years old.

Had my MX518 for 5 years or so now, the only thing I've had to replace is the feet, and even then they are only around £3 =)
