The Utterly Imbalanced CaseLabs TX10-D build(s)!

VSG

I already have 2 strips, had em for like 6 months now, I tried NZXT + bitfenix alchemy before hand, the icemodz are much much better.

My mistake then. I've seen people with Alchemy strips just out right die for no reason after a short time or not be very bright at all.

My issue with other LED strips were that they didn't give an even glow like a cathode, more of a "spotlight" effect, but the icemodz strips didn't do it, so I've stuck with them.

I've been put off lighting inside my case because of all the problems I've seen/read about so maybe I'll look into these Icemodz ones at some point, decided to save for a holiday though. So after :P

Is there no other place to get the Icemodz LEDs other than direct from Iceland? I am also seeing good things about the Darkside LEDs from Daz.

I don't think so. Unless maybe they have Amazon but I think direct from Iceland.

I didn't find anything local. I have had issues with US customs before but if no one has had any problems with this then I will consider it.

Maybe it was the person who sent them, sometimes they label stuff wrong or whatever. I've had issues with stuff coming into the UK before because they opened it and the value was set to lower to avoid the higher tax and they took my package away =[

Also MNPC tech used to do some crazy mods on their Youtube  channel but I stopped following because it would be mooooonths between videos =[

Well you said you want something that can be dimmed/brightened by voltage so i remembered these.

Since they work from a 3-pin header, you can put them in the fan controller and adjust them however you want. Also, they are so beautifully sleeved.

Just saw you already talked about them

No worries, man. I appreciate it and that helps also. I think I will contact MNPC/Daz and Ice Modz to see if I can get a small sample (3-5 LEDs or so) for comparison before I get them for the entire motherboard compartments. I imagine I will need a good 100-150 cm or so each side, I will measure today to be sure. I also have a BNIB NXZT Hue from RMA with me for consideration.

i already heard back from Mundi (IceModz). If everything goes well, I should have something from him soon :)

The guy seems really nice and down to earth. I appreciate smaller operations like him, FrozenQ etc who work with customers and make sure they are satisfied.

It's only 5$ shipping to the US if you pay for no tracking, but it takes up to like 10 business days.

Yeah he's awesome. He's helped me multiple times, I even talked him into starting to sleeve the supernova evga PSU's.   When EVGA started selling those sleeving kits, I messaged him and asked him if he could buy one and take it apart to get the pin-outs, and he did!

Damn, that is very nice then. One last question, did you get the single colour LED strip or the Spot LED strip?

Ya that's not bad at all. I suppose this is as good a time as any to introduce my newest sponsor:

Mundi has kindly agreed to send 2 kits of long RGB LED strips with controllers as well as some acrylic tubing to use and review. I have also requested a sample sleeved cable to add to my database for comparison with the other cables I have/will be getting.
