Beyerdynamic DT990 PRO AMP

DoubleWz

Hello, I'm thinking of picking up a pair of Beyerdynamic DT990 PRO (250 ohm version) for black friday. I understand that i would need a amp to drive them. My question is therefore which one? I would ideally like to spend about 100-150 dollars. I would only use them for my pc so maybe a soundcard would be a good idea? Thanks in advance.

I live in Europe so it should be available outside the US.

A soundcard doesn't do much these days. Schiit Magni and Modi is a pretty good combo but on the cheaper side there are many FiiO amps available but only some are good deals.

I'm just here to say you really don't need an AMP for these headphones on a PC. My old PC and new PC could run these loud enough and even the 3.5mm jack on my headphones (via Displayport audio) can run these headphones just fine.

On my phone for example I do notice I have to get close to 100% sound to get an enjoyable volume, but I would actually highly recommend you try these headphones without an amp first.

If you do want to get an amp, the posters above me have provided some good options.

@DoubleWzI have the same model and although I use them mostly with Audient id4 nowadays, I also have Fulla 2 and that small thingy is great. You don't need anything better than Fulla 2 especially for your budget. And the great thing is that you will get DAC integrated into Fulla 2 or you can use it just as an amp if you want to do so.
