Do you get any rewards from folding?

I don't mean like money or anything like that :P but do you get some titles or something when you fold a lot? Is there some ranking system?

Is folding something you do just so you help and have a good feeling that you're helping or does it give you anything in return?(can be anything small i dont care som internet badge or something :P)

I like the ambient noise of my PC running as it helps me sleep... That could possibly be a reward?

now.. where did i leave that comment of mine.. right! here it is.

there is no direct reward as in money or anything similar and that's because.. science! it's great and you should help them out, the more we know the better.

a project like this helps them do things they would otherwise be incapable of doing, financing it themselves would cost millions upon millions of dollars, so instead we are here to give them a helping hand.

you do get a diploma of sorts that you can print out if you want, it doesn't really hold any meaning though, you can however get a folding badge on this very forum... this is what you get from folding@home.

Good Karma

Don't listen to Krieger. He's using your CPU cycles to come up with his next hair brained project!

-ahem-

No there aren't any rewards other than the fact that you are helping a good cause. Also e-peen points, LTT badge and bragging rights. That's about it.

There are a few things.

1: The heat keeps my room warm in the winter

2: If i get hungry i can hold a hot-dog near my servers exhaust port. Cooks it right up

3: Ambient noise helps me sleep

4: Good feeling

5: Looks good on resume/public-service record

6: And the ability to participate in a cause greater than yourself is also a plus

I've had a ton of cancer units, and my uncle and friend had cancer, and my grandpa passed away from it. So it's nice knowing that I contribute towards finding a cure for that.
