I know this will sound crazy, but these OnePlus phones actually turn out to be more expensive because you can’t get them through data plans (in Canada). I don’t know why I would spend close to $800 on a OnePlus 6 or 6T when I could easily get an LG G7 for $480 or a Huawei P20 for $360. That’s all through Koodo BTW.

$480 including the cost of a data plan?

No. That’s just the phone, but you have to get a plan with it.

Oh so that is an upfront cost.  Over 24 months what is the difference?

He isn't referring to a cheaper oneplus 6t

He is talking about Oneplus 6(t) costing 800 dollar.

It's 550 dollar on oneplus.com. So maybe it's special canadian-pricing?

719 Canadian dollar or Canadian Rupees as Linus likes to call it.

That is the total price! 0 upfront and then 480 on the tab. You can pay the tab right away and cancel your plan after 1 month if you want.

It’s what the pixel 3 should have been. Oneplus are googles biggest competitor I think (they probably sell more phones too!)

if the 6t had front stereo speakers, wireless charging, and the call screening like the pixel, it would be the perfect phone.

Current: CPU: Intel i7-8700k. Mobo: Gigabyte - Z370 AORUS Gaming 5. RAM: 16gb G Skill Trident Z RGB. GPU: EVGA RTX 2070 Super.

First: CPU: AMD FX-8350 @4.5GHz. Mobo: Asus ROG crosshair V formula-Z. RAM: 8GB Patriot Viper XTreme. GPU: Asus Radeon 7950.

To be honest, I'd take the OP6 over the OP6T anyday. IMO the notch is kinda ugly, there's no headphone jack and the new front fingerprint scanner isn't that great. I really think OnePlus have taken a backwards step with the 6T although others might be quick to disagree with me.

I mostly agree with you. Personally I find the notch not that bad though, the missing headphone jack is a bit of a deal breaker and nothing wrong with the fingerprint scanner on the back, which is perfectly reachable with your index finger.

I'm already owning an OP6 but if I would have to pick a new phone right now, I'd pick the 6 again.

CPU: i7-12700KF Grill Plate Edition // MOBO: Asus Z690-PLUS WIFI D4 // RAM: 16GB G.Skill Trident Z 3200MHz CL14

GPU: MSI GTX 1080 FE // PSU: Corsair RM750i // CASE: Thermaltake Core X71 // BOOT: Samsung Evo 960 500GB

STORAGE: WD PC SN530 512GB + Samsung Evo 860 500GB // COOLING: Full custom loop // DISPLAY: LG 34UC89G-B

I might buy a OP6 but I can't find it for sale on OnePlus' website.. It's weird though because why would they already stop selling their previous phone when they haven't even started sales for their newest phone yet?

IMO one thing that's really great about the OnePlus 6T is that 2 carriers now sell them in the UK, which is a first for OnePlus.

That no jack thing proves that one plus is trying its best to become the next iPhone. :D

I don't completely disagree with you but the fact that you can ask someone if they have a pixel 3 and they'll actually be able to give you an answer of no rather than "what's a One plus?" means that you're probably sadly wrong. :(

T mobile is giving 50% off with eligible trade ins. So, that might sway some people. I think with the savings its like $11 a month for 24 months. Thats not bad if you ask me.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
