Minecraft shaders running at low FPS, With a 1080ti

Hello! Im having a problem with running Minecraft @60fps in 4k with “Seus Renewed” shaders(with default shader settings). Im trying to run this in a modpack: Sevtech. The reason I’m concerned about the frames im getting is because this Youtuber(ChosenArchitect) is using the same exact shaders pack and modpack as I am but he is getting more frams and I have a 1080ti. The only difference between him and I are, is he playing @1080p while recording and im playing @4k.

My specs:

i7-8700k @4.7ghz (default)

16gb(2x8gb) of Corsair Vengeance pro rgb @3000mhz CAS 16 ddr4

evga gtx 1080ti ftw3 @default speeds

Win 10 pro

64bit

(Playing in 4k)

The Youtuber’s(ChosenArchitect) specs:

i7-4820k @OC 4ghz

16gb(4x4gb) @1866 Adata XPG V2

Nvidea gtx 1070 8gb

2tb hard drive

Win 10 home

64bit

(Playing on 1080p, and recording)

Shaders pack im trying to use: https://sonicether.com/download/seus-renewed-v1-0-0/

Modpack: https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/sevtech-ages

Check what java version you are running. If its the 32 bit then that would explain the fps drop.

Also while minecraft isnt the most demanding game, you will get some drop going from 1080 to 4k.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

ye my son runs seus on my 1080ti and it real hard on the card usually between 60 and high 30s and thats at 2k

so 4k will be incredibly taxing on your card

I checked it its through java 64 bit, but the twitch launcher is in 32 bit so idk if that does anything.

I just found out that like all the applications I have installed are on 32 bit for some reason... are you able to help me to fix that from happening? and how to change them to 64 bit.

The launcher will always be 32bit

mincraftlancher.PNG.cf999ef298db92aca4c79af0f4fcd1f2.PNG

But what u need to check is when u launch minecraft is the java client.

java64bit.PNG

If it doesnt say (32-bits) then its 64bit

Also, most programs will be 32 bit as 64 bit will make no difference. Only when a program needs more then 2GB will it be a 64 GB application

Hey I think I might've figured it out!

I realised that when my PC was new I used to get high frames, but now I got 12-13, so I simply reverted to an old 2017 driver, and it completely fixed everything!

BTW, I have an NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti, so I'm not sure about AMD cards

Do you know what the exact version is?

4k is gonna cut your fps in half compared to 1080p

4K is going to tank fps especially when shaders and texture packs are used on top of Minecraft.

Question, are you even using Optifine and tuning settings with that?

Also, what render distance is MC set at?
