Internet Explorer is Number One Browser in the World..........!!!!!!

Microsoft got sued a while back for not letting people uninstall IE but they have still not allowed people to uninstall it. It really annoys be for it just being there. I wish I could wipe it completely from my PC.

click the start orb, search "turn windows features on/off" then uncheck ie and restart. There ya go

I actually went back to IE with 9, and 10 was amazing! (dat native 64bit browsing).
But I am currently between browsers since IE11 is a buggy mess, as is chrome (for me anyways), and Firefox will work great for 1½hours then crash my entire system :/

Also, on basically all of the surveys where you see chrome being the "most used", its an inflated number, since chrome preloads a ton of your most visited sites as soon as you launch it, and those hits will count as "chrome users", even though most users never actively go to all the sites in the same session.

And you cant really blame IE for coming with every PC, since its the exact same with Safari on iOS / OSX, and chrome on chromebooks, and whatever browser is standard on android. (Still waiting for the lawsuit against those guys for not offering browser choice, it should be a level playing field)

Important to notice that it is an old version of IE in first place, and the newest version of Chrome on second place

Doesn't that just show that people are bad at updating?

If you consider all versions, I bet Chrome still wins

I'm not really surprised that IE is the most used browser as schools are riddled with them, and most public places I've been to i.e work, internet cafe's all just have I.E available. Slowly this all adds up to the big number as I'm sure most businesses probably have exactly the same aweful I.E as default.

Why are there so many plebs in this world? That is the question.

With the internet being filled with infinite knowledge, why are people still ignorant?

According to the wikipedia talk page, NetApplications, which provided the data, in their FAQ says:

These sample reports are intended to demonstrate the format and capability of Net Market Share reports. The data within these sample reports is either out of date or fabricated.

why is IE hated on so much? I use Chrome because i have it setup with all my bookmarks and a 49ers theme and all but honestly i find IE to be decent.

I mean in I know people who will immediately download chrome and start using that instead of IE (our school has different accounts for every person and each time you login/out it removes all new installed programs that are not previously setup).

Why? Is it some security issue? But for school work that shouldn't be a big deal.

Maybe people think that with other browsers you can't 'explore the internet'?

Jk

Indeed the ignorance regarding downloading things is skyhigh, this is why people stick to toolbar riddled IE browsers of old.

It's probably because people use what's already installed in the PC.

I think a lot of corporations use IE to stay compliant with various web based applications.

Guys IE 10 and 11 are actually good browsers.....
Also many companies are forced to use IE 7/8 and thats why the market usage is so high

People don't give IE enough credit. I always use it to download and install Firefox and Chrome.

But I thought Netscape was number 1!

I don't think ie9-ie11 are that bad. Sure I'll never use them, but they are one of the fastest browsers out there.

It won't work if you went from newer versions of IE. It only removes the previous version until IE 6 or something. So I am completely stuck with IE 6 I think.
