Best cheap, large, general use TV

Skeeter

What is the best general use TV range at the moment? My parents want something 42+ inches, non glossy screen, to watch TV (nothing above HD) on. No gaming, no HDR requirements or anything, but as it will hopefully last ages probably 4k is required.

And as cheap as possible without being a rubbish device. And probably from a mainstream shop rather than an obscure website or import.

Thanks

I'd do a TCL or LG for a lower cost alternative. Samsung has a little higher cost most of the time than LG in the smaller tv's.

As far as the glossy screen goes, you're probably going to get a "glossy" style VA panel in those lower prices. You need a mid tier or higher for an IPS panel, USUALLY.

Check out Rtings.com, they have a way to narrow down the selections.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
