You could get a 120hz monitor

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

I like my 1440p/165hz monitor but it's a pain to drive.  Given your use-case I'd probably get 1080p/165hz

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

He has a 1060 3g, I'm somewhat doubting he will reach 144fps at 1080p. Why go even higher to 165 Hz?

His question is: What shall I buy? 1080p144 or 1440p60. With his cpu being a 6700, 8gb of ram and a gtx 1060 3g.

He never asked something about 165hz...

I can't recommend you any screens, sorry. I'm using 1440p165.

I know Acer Predator screens are top of the line, but I think you should start with deciding on your budget + size.

I prefer my gaming monitor to be 24", have played for a while on a 27" display, but I found it to big for fast phased games.

I like this guy for the price, curved and 144hz with freesync if you ever change to AMD

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/vdvbt6/acer-ed242qr-abidpx-236-1920x1080-144hz-monitor-ed242qr-abidpx#viewImages

An extra $110 gets g-sync qnd 180hz (not worth it IMO)

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/4cbkcf/acer-monitor-xb241h

Basically double the price but it's a great, 1440p + gsync + 165hz, this thing is way over your gpu's capabilities though.  If you go this route, treat it as a long term investment that your future GPU would need to mature into

get the 1440p screen. if you get something over 60hz, and you play on it, then go back, it will feel really weird

All I ever do at this point is play Destiny 2.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's kinda sad...

Honestly I can't handle the input lag of the 165hz 1440p screens when playing overwatch. Nice for casual games but it feels like i am just slightly delayed.

I have a 240hz for gaming and the 4k 144hz for if I want those nice visuals. If rather have 2 monitors that are good at what they do rather than 1 that is a jack of all trades master of none.
