Rockstar games announces Red Dead Online

In a move that should surprise absolutely nobody Rockstar Games have just announced Red Dead Online which sounds identical to GTA Online.

Red Dead Online is an evolution of the classic multiplayer experience in the original Red Dead Redemption, blending narrative with competitive and cooperative gameplay in fun new ways. Using the gameplay of the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 as a foundation, Red Dead Online will be ready to be explored alone or with friends, and will also feature constant updates and adjustments to grow and evolve this experience for all players.

The service will launch in November, initially as a Beta with no word when the final product will release.

There's not much to really say about this, it was rumoured last year and given how much money GTA O has made it was obvious this was coming.

wonder if they can get online optimisation good on consoles -- gta:o ran sub 20fps sometimes on ps4 base, even worse on xb1 with the worse gpu and less mem bandwidth.

After GTAV, I'm not interested in any more of Rockstar's bullshit. I've never even used GTA Online, but I can't get in to the singleplayer game without a nightmarish authentication system chucking EULAs and are-you-human tests at me repeatedly.

 

And to top it all off, once you finally get in, you realise GTAV is a terrible game anyway.

Sure but it doesn't comes with missiles.

 

Ony the terror-horsecart can modify your flying horse too add missiles (for 100k gold) and that's another 1.2 to 3 million gold coins and well, you need to store your terror-horsecart and it can only fit in your brand new 1 to 8 million nightclub. 

 

Also your stable boy might not know how to put missiles on your flying horse so you might need a team of old timey engineers to 'research' how to on another 1.5 million gold bunker and even then it might take them endless hours or hundred thousands of gold to research and they might get distracted researching how to paint your guns in fanciful ways first.

That should 100% be a thing, prostitute to heal you for a small fee but with a chance you'll pick up an infection and die.

Exactly. I have no idea if there were condoms at the time as RDR's but you should have an option too for with or without in GTA.

After all, it's all about creativity and open world as possible.

You have to have horses that can carry bags with goldbars and to have goldbars, you have to go to a bank.

If you want a lot of horses with a lot of bags of gold, you have to buy a train. If you have a train full of horses with bags of goldbars and you want to be very sure of your security, you have to buy Fort Knox.
