Is my CPU bottlenecking me?

I wanted to know if my CPU is bottlenecking me in games. I'm not sure if my CPU is under powered for my 1050 TI and that's why my FPS in games is extremely low or if it's something else in my system.

I built my PC in January and have been using integrated graphics up until July when I got my graphics card. Does this have anything to do with it?

   My CPU is a I3-7100

My GPU is a GeForce GTX 1050Ti by EVGA (SUPER-CLOCKED) I doubt it but, is my card too
strong for my CPU?

Is my Gigabyte - GA-B250M-DS3H (MOBO) outdated or under powered for my other components?

Or, is it my ram that isn't working well with rest of my parts?

If you need any test or pictures of task manager or such, please type in the comments and all help truly is appreciated!

What games though? There are games where dual cores are already lacking.

Also no, your mobo and ram has nothing to do with it.

Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.9 Ghz  | Gigabyte AB350M Gaming 3 |  PaliT GTX 1050Ti  |  8gb Kingston HyperX Fury @ 2933 Mhz  |  Corsair CX550m  |  1 TB WD Blue HDD

Inside some old case I found lying around.

The i3-7100 is capable of getting smooth average frame rates: https://www.hardwaresecrets.com/core-i3-7100-cpu-by-intel-review/7/

It'd be good to know what games you play as well. And I guess to get the "obvious" steps, make sure the monitor is plugged into the video card or if you have two monitors that the primary one is plugged into the video card.

CS-GO- 40 Frames- maybe higher, definitely goes lower

Fortnite- 40 Frames- 200 On Loading Screen, 60-80 in lobby, I basically spawn in on the bus before i'm in the starting island, 20 frames on bus and 40 and dropping in actual game-play/ combat.

Golf With Your Friends- 30 frames and dropping, sometimes higher.

Hand Simulator- 5 frames and dropping.

I'm way past the plug into the monitor part and drivers are installed.

Resolution and settings?

Those definitely seem weird if you're on 1080p.
What are the temps?

What settings, i.e., resolution, quality, etc. are these run at?

That would be just about every game that is less than 8 years old.

Res is 1280/720p

I'd like to mention that my FPS stays the same whether my settings are on the lowest or on the highest.

I've played Fortnite with the 1050Ti on a quad-core CPU, which i don't remember the type of at the moment.

But even on Epic view-distance it ran around 60fps at 1080p.
So yeah i'm guessing its the CPU. But another programs being annoying could also be a culprit.

When i ask for more specs, don't expect me to know the answer!

Pres CTRL+SHIFT+ESC (opens taskmanager) and click on more details.
There you can see CPU usage, and even click on it (CPU) to sort most used to top.

Nothing too much, a few frames, if even.

Well you're playing on a dual core. Every game now is made for at least 4 cores. My advice is to buy a used i5 6400 on eBay.

Edit: a 6500/7400/7500 would work as well.

Yeah i don't think there are any settings in Fortnite that will change CPU usage enough.

By doing what @JoostinOnline said. :)

2 cores for gaming is a bit to little nowadays.

Here's the thing, my friend has a I3-6100 and a 1050Ti, basically the same system but his works amazingly, he plays max settings Fortnite with 120 FPS.

 Any answers to that?

The only i3 that could do that is an 8100.
