Looking to buy a high build quality laptop

Well i need some help here hehe

I am pretty bad at laptops.

I am looking to buy a high build quality laptop.

Mainly for multitasking and work.

Only things i care about:

IPS panel

16gb dual channel

8th gen i7

SSD

at least 3 USB ports

high-quality feel/finish. preferably silver/grey.

I don't game btw so the gpu doesn't matter much.

umm price range would be 1k$ topping 1.5k max (lower better)

Thanks so much !!!

GDI completely forgot to mention,

I prefer 15 inch since 13 is too small for me.

I can give up on the 16 gigs of ram if i can upgrade in the future.

USB A or USB C? Do you need a high quality IPS panel? FYI KBL-R i7 isn't much faster than KBL-R i5

Just usb 3.0 is totally fine.

The implementation is more important since i am also connecting a modi 2 external DAC to it.

1080P bright and well balanced IPS is good, I don't need touch screen or high resolution screens for my needs, but rather a pleasant easy to work with/maybe watch a movie on type of panel.

I guess the priority is:

Screen>design and quality>cpu>3usb>ssd>ram

Thanks for your replies so far.

You can consider premium business laptops like Thinkpad T series with WQHD/UHD panel, solid build quality

i've had lenovo laptops up until now.

They always feel cheap.

Infact i am typing on one right now hehe

I am an android and windows guy, pretty much all my life.. but i must admit that so far apple macbook pros are the highest quality.

Also the interface (OS) looks great for being productive.

Man i am lost, like nobody makes good laptops anymore? I remember even dell used to be much more premium back then.

Every brand has good and bad models. Thinkpad T series is solid.
