Hi guys just wondering which switches do you guys prefer. I like Romer-Gs

Dizmo I just picked the most popular ones basicly the ones I think most people know of

i like reds, my corsair STRAFE was got on sale for 45$ and i love it. It goes well with my red mouse red LED strips in my case.

I like to collect one keyboard for every switch, but the one I use the most is the Cherry MX blue, followed by the red ones.

A lot of people here are younger or on a budget, so Kaihl and such would be pretty prevalent.

I see you've included Razer switches but haven't really branded them as such.

There's also Roccat's Titan switches, which are supposed to be divine.

Cherry MX Brown's with rubber O-ring dampeners or bust for me. Absolutely love the tactile feel and quieter noise they provide having been using a G710+ for 5 years, and most recently a G610 MX Brown with O-ring dampeners I had to install myself.

So what difference does the O-rings make on your G610. Might look into getting some for mine as well.

They make the keys sound ever so slightly less clacky when bottoming out. It's really hard to notice the difference unless you work in a quiet enough office, but absolutely worth it so coworkers aren't annoyed.

I guess in terms of feel, it's also slightly cushioned it when bottoming out? I use this at home so I'm not too worried about sound (still evil). I would be using blues if I had found them.

Ah yes, the keys are also slightly softer with the O-rings when they reach the bottom too. Search eBay for item number "252769750916" and you'll find the set of O-rings I purchased that seem to work well. Not trying to link to a used eBay item, as I'm aware that eBay links are against the forum CoC, but this gives you an idea as to what to look for when finding O-rings for your keyboard.

Romer-G is quieter with smoother lower frequency noise profile than MX Brown with O-rings, because of having internal damping also for upstroke.

I used G710+ for nearly five years before getting G810 at winter.

I will agree that the keys are quieter for sure, however, I do not like the extra smooth feel that Logitech has created with their Roamer-G keys. Plus, Roamer-G and other proprietary key caps / switches don't lead to a customizable market for the consumer. I know Filco's Cherry MX switches are technically proprietary too, but at least they've been an industry standard for 20+ years. Glad the G810 is working out for you though.

Currently rocking blue switches but lately i've been interested in switching to brown

Optical switches on the razer huntsman are probably my favorite

the clicky and tactile feel of a blue at a 45g force
