Multi-core enhancement / turbo core enhancement question z370 vs h370

Just a question about multi-core enhancement (all cores boosting to turbo clock on CL). 

-is it available on h370? or just on z370 chipsets. 

-I presume it works with non k series cpu's as well?

 

might be  the decider in dumping my FX platform, well unless I put coilovers in my track car. last pc upgrade somehow ended up as new laptop for my wife, funny how that happens :)

It seems that 4.3 or 4.4Ghz might be the maximum clock achieved with MCE enabled.

Changing BCLK will let all all cores run at the maximum speed, up to 4.6Ghz, from what I can find.

But changing bclk is possible or not? I've asked a user here before back when Z370 is the only 1151v2 chipset to try change bclk with an 8100 (It's a gigabyte z370m-d3h), but he said the BIOS doesnt have the option and Windows crashed while doing with XTU.

It appears to vary by board.

 

Gigabyte's BIOSs aren't the best or have as many features as others do from what I've heard. I've only used one Gigabyte board, and it was an FM2 socket.

Multi Core Enhancement only "exists" on the overclocking ready Z370 chipset.

It does not work with locked non-K processors, however if you set the i7 8700 to max tdp on Intel utility or use certain specific features depending on the BIOS like my Gigabyte board for instance has the FLEX override feature you can lock it at 44 multiplier instead of the standard 43 for all cores turbo.

 

This means with a Z370 overclokable board you can still have the i7 8700 locked at 4.4ghz but this is the best case scenario, unless you're also investing on high end memory and go with 2666mhz or lower sticks you might as well just go with the b360 and spare you the trouble of messing around with settings.

Citation needed? if you do not have experience with the hardware do not opine on it, Gigabyte's BIOS for coffee lake is as complete as Asus BIOS, BCLK was never possible on Coffee Lake in fact it hasn't been possible since old Skylake revisions for locked CPUs and this has nothing to do with a brand's BIOS.

Gigabyte BIOS do have a tendency of aggressively high voltage, especially their LLC settings. Not like it matters when not overclocking though.
