I've watched ~168 LMG videos this month, joined Floatplane, and for my birthday next month I asked for LMG merch from my girlfriend - who is (fortunately) understanding AND supportive of my nerd nature. Where has this been all my life?! (Rhetorical, don't answer)

That was basically me when I discovered LMG in 2014. I watched them before school, after school, before sleeping, etc. I honestly don't watch much LMG now, except for Scrapyard Wars and a few cool tech stuff. Their build guides are getting worse IMO, none of them really help any aspiring builder.

It gets worse. First you get hooked on Linus, but then you watch scrapyard wars and you start experimenting with Paul, Jayz, and after that the spiral just keeps getting steeper.

I've had a similar experience with Tek Syndicate. But Tek Syndicate is starting to get back on track now. I loved the nerd culture that Tek Syndicate provided. Damn, I miss the good old days.

Once you start posting a lot on the forums, it will get worse lol. I was really active about two to four years ago. But then I got burnt out.

once you have it all. it becomes like: meh.

while im not going so balls deep into LMG it was interesting to see for me that my GF first hated when i watched LMG videos on the TV because she found Linus voice very annoying but now at least tolerates it because she likes some of the content.
