I'm just saying, losing 90% use of your pc if you only have one card mining 24/7, for an entire 31 days, just to make 140$ seems pointless, especially if it's your main computer.

By that argument why do you even shut it on at all since everything you do causes wear by your argument, i bet you overclock as well.

Nowhere in my statement was I talking about causing wear. I'm saying, whilst mining at 100%, you can barely use your PC, and to lose use of your main PC 24/7 for an entire 31 days just to make 140$, it doesn't seem that great of an idea unless you had a spare PC you could use, although. To each his own.

Also, what do you mean by "shut it on at all" did you mean shut it off?

No, by shut it on i meant turn it on. as in turning on the PC

I tried calculating and concluded no coins are likely to return invested value in new hardware, unless you happen to have a spare PC with CF 7970 or 7950 lying around.

Yes it's fine, you'll get a decent amount of money, but don't expect to make much more than ~80$ a month or so

What catcoins

???

catcoins (CAT) was really profitable during the first days, now difficulty has gone up and the price hasnt really.

IMO the most "stable"(nothing is really stable here) is LTC and pays pretty good.

Other new coins might be more profitable but risk is also higher, you might mine billions of new coins but if they are worth shit then its useless. Whereas you could mine LTC, you ll get 0.2LTC per day( with a 7950) but price seems to be rising.

I dont know but i got into mining with the attitude of an experiment, i bought a 7950 just to mine and ride the train, where ever it takes me, worse case scenario i lose a few hundred euros, best case i win a few hundred.

yeah go to my workers, register a worked and create a batch file, follow these steps https://www.wemineltc.com/gettingstarted

If the problem isnt fixed, post on their forums since they have people always online who are a lot better at mining questions than me, or make another thread here specifically for that problem.

I currently have 0.13 LTC and I started feathercoin and have 0.7 of that. (not mining constantly, just occasionally) I'm wondering if I should mine LTC, FTC, or even both? What are your thoughts?

If you're trying to make quick money the best way to get in on a currency right before it starts, and mine right away when it does. When it gets on an exchange dump all your coins and the price will plummet in two days. Just look at catcoin and mooncoin. Honestly these are all scams for people to make a quick buck, but hey it does work.
