I have to go to the darkside

So my old laptop broke  but thankfully I have a warranty through bestbuy so now they are giving store credit for its original cost, however for a multitude of reasons that I don't care to fully list I now need a MacBook pro 15.4" and I am wondering if anyone has any tricks or tips other than the student discount to get this in the cheapest way possible. Best Buy will price match most legit retailers however I am not finding much other than the student discount both apple and Best Buy offer. I know there probably is not much else that is out there for deals, just wondering if anyone knows of any lesser known places that sell them cheaper or really any other way I could save some money.

 

side not please don't respond with anything other than the 15" MacBook, I know there are a million pcs out there that are cheaper and better but this is what my school is essentially making me get plus it checks off the things on my wants for a laptop ie decent battery, light weight, thunderbolt 3 and a few more. Here's to joining the dark side.

BB Pretty much only will price match local stuff and big online retailers, so you pretty limited there.

Since you're going to be constrained to purchasing from Best Buy, there's very little in terms of additional discounts. The best I can think of is buying certified refurbished units but that's only available through Apple directly.

256 is enough for me to split, I have a lot of external storage and a raid array that I use to backup those external drives so I am not to worried about storage

Actually, so do I 

None of my computers have files saved on their storage drives either. I have a server (also RAID) connected to my home network that stores (and backups) all those files.

There's some special software you can use so that the awesome MBP trackpad works on windows just like it does on mac.

Best trackpad on the market.

I've used Boot Camp to setup the keyboard and trackpad on my Air and Pro though. And it worked out fine.

Windows 10 more or less forces biannual upgrades which are often bug riddled and will often have issues on clean installs (at least from my experience).

After clean installing windows 10 several years ago I've had 0 issues with any of the OS updates.

Maybe you just don't maintain your OS properly or something.

Stores often give a discount to students around the start of every new academic year.
