Meeting Linus at Computex 2018

leomtg

So I was lucky enough to get a badge to go to Computex in Taiwan, which isn't open to the general public, this year. Even luckier to meet Linus and team.

Watching them work I noticed a few things.

1. They are super pro. Other youtubers are using old cameras or even just smartphones to record their content, then Dennis walks out with a RED camera.

2. Linus usually only needs one take for everything.

3. Linus is a GOD in the tech world. Whenever he walks in a booth, you can see all the exhibitors huddle up and start whispering. "That guy has 6M subscribers!" "That dude decides what is good and what is $hit!" "Follow him around answer any questions he has, do NOT anger him."

I also thank Linus and Dennis so much for taking a selfie with them. I know they are super busy during tech shows.

After my photo with Linus, I told I was a bigger fan of Dennis, hold that won't get Dennis fired. Just kidding.

I also got to proudly tell Colton that I am a Floatplane subscriber.

I hope Linus Tech Tips comes to the Computex every year.

Linus looks worn out and you look happy? to meet him.

Dennis looks happy to meet you and you look like you were forced to take the pic.

We have a lot to learn from this.

Not surprised, Linus now can make or break products through his choice to make a video on them or not.

I've always understood their need from a perspective of I've always looked at LMG as a studio and not a tech channel, but the others get shit done just fine with cheap stuff. Cheap cameras are good now. I have a feeling linus would hunt squirrel with 10 gauge turkey load.

Well I'd counter those remarks. Judging by their video thumbnails they are amateur. And yeah its noticable that he only does one take.
