Need a headset, know nothing about audio

I was thinking of just getting a Logitech G pro to replace my 3-4 year old G930. I was told that I should get a real set of headphones and a modmic. I'd definitely be open to that but I don't know a good set. I game mostly but also watch alot of youtube and some movies. Help would be appreciated! Total budget including the modmic would be around 200

I'm using the Sennheiser HD 598 CE + a modmic and that is performing very well. A DT770 also sounds like a good pick.

Hm how good is it for gaming? Right now I'm playing alot of Fortnite but I'm assuming it would be good. Also I don't know if I'll like the clothe earpads since I like the fake leather on my g930.

Very good. I've never looked back on 'gaming' headsets. Sounds great in game and for music. The velour earpads are actually nice so I think you'll be fine with them.

Nah, you don't need that for this. Though depending on your motherboard audio, you may want to get a simple USB audio adaptor for the modmic
