75 bucks if an optical output is important to you (it is to me)

otherwise this one will do quite well.

TBH, most onboard audio chips are pretty similar these days.  Your stereo/headset will make a bigger difference.

Was unaware.  Thanks for mentioning that, as I'd hate to be giving bad advice.

I'm not motherboard expert, there are other ppl in this forum that can give detailed explanation like @dave_k

What I can tell you is avoid Gigabyte and MSI B350 AM4 boards. BIOS and VRM issues.

Does it have to be microatx? From what I seen there's a high chance of getting a faulty board, especially with the ab350m pro4 based off reviews on newegg. The atx version of the pro4 however has lesser issues and is $75 and the x370 pro4 at is $90

No board has good audio.

Maybe things like C7H have "OK audio".

Look for Asus TUF B350, it should be the least cancerous one.

Don't buy Apple M1 computers with 8GB of RAM

Atx will also work if it fits in that price

i'm using gigabyte AB350m with r5 1600. I don't have any issues now and with the overclock i have (3.925ghz at 1.35v), i think its a decent board imo.

Lol late reply. It will comes down to your case and your preference. ATX usually packs more features due to its size, like pcie slots and etc. (Correct me if im wrong). You can also benefit the ATX supported case for the space inside of it, which can be roomy.

I like mATX because it can fit to any place and being compact makes my desk clean and spacious.
