So the power just went out in like all of the GTA (Great Toronto Area) and thank GOD I bought 2 UPS's. I currently have my router plugged into one and my laptop plugged into the other one so I have power. Remember kids, always buy a UPS because you would otherwise get screwed over.

Tee hee. I have one, but the battery is TOAST. I got about 30 seconds on it with a steady 40 watt draw. It's a 430 watt UPS.

We have not had a power cut in 5 years in the UK, never needed one.

In the uk power cuts are very rare and only tend to last a few minutes a couple of hours at its absolute longest, you see we have our shit together over here.
