Ive got my 1080ti and my 970 running. (can't seem to get my 670 running but I suspect that is because its on a 1x to 16x riser)

5 GPU here too. Oh and a 1050ti which doesn't account for much.

 

We can't get complacent with rechenkraft - we are nearly identical capacity but they hold and drop so it makes it seem they are lagging behind sometimes. They dropped a 7M bunker just in the last hour and took back 10th.

I did have 5 running but need to cool my house for now. Forecast is cooler weather from tomorrow so I hope to go all out towards the end.

Is there a setting in boinc that I'm missing for it to address more than one card on a system?

Not to my knowledge, is it showing up in device manager and Nvidia drivers fine?

Yeah in device manager correctly driver didn't crash or anything just sitting there in afterburner idling.

Not unless you have manually added in a app_config.xml file in the past that restricts it to certain GPUs' (GPU1, GPU2 etc). That specifically needs end user intervention and won't ever happen via the client in the GUI though.

 

Preferences -> Edit PrimeGrid Preferences has "Use CPU", "Use ATI/AMD" and "Use nVidia" tickboxes though. Make sure the option for your GPU brands are ticked on or you won't be sent any work units for that flavour.

I don't know if it is still current but there used to be a setting in a configuration file to make it use more than one GPU. Otherwise it would only use the single fastest.

 

If you restart boinc and look at the event log, what does it say for the GPUs?

Haven't had to do that on any of my current systems with BOINC, and have used multiple AMD, nVidia and mixed systems recently.

I had run SLI systems but still wasn't sure if I did that in past or not. I suspect it might be an old boinc client thing.

 

Still, will be interesting to see the event log for GPUs for affected systems.

No haven't added that file and under primegrid preferences all boxes are ticked for nvidia gpus.

BOINC manager window, Tools menu, bottom option. Or Ctrl-Shift-E.

Btw, if anyone is running SLI or Crossfire, it is worth turning this off for compute or you will lose a decent % of performance. Though I wouldn't try turning it on/off with the BOINC client running though.
